This will ruin the surprise planned for the chat on the 18th, but, oh well... On March 18th, this site will switch to a pay-per-view site, in which you can view podcasts of the episodes (with music intact) complete with teasers, previews, commercials, and all interviews with cast and crew from 1981- present. We haven't set a price per view on it yet, though. (Wait a minute, it's not April 1st yet...) Well, you haven't lost your touch with the April fools jokes. Very funny. Now, as far as Harcastle and McCormick, I've never seen the show, but if I get the chance to, I might just try it. That's how I got into quite a few shows that I didn't grow up watching, such as "Barney Miller" and "Adam-12."

Thanks for letting us know. And it is a shame that they cannot honor actors/actresses while they are alive...same with artists and writers.

They do honor actors while they're alive on the walk of fame. That is, unless Culp is the walking dead. What's a shame is that there wasn't enough sponsorship for Keith until after his death. You have to raise a certain amount of money (sponsorship) to get the star on the walk, and I believe a few other minor factors. I remember him most for his role as the dad in "The Parent Trap," but I am interested in watching "Hardcastle and McCormick" one of these days to see a different side of the actor.

According to Katt's interview, he IS dead. Too bad they don't recognize more good people when they are alive...too many are posthumously awarded.

Well, after several years of blood, sweat, & tears it is done! Brian Keith got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was a dream vacation. We attended the star ceremony itself, a reception afterwards, a cast reunion, and took a tour of the Gulls Way Estate in Malibu. Got some great pics too! The man...Stephen J. Cannell SJC and Daniel Hugh Kelly SJC, Daniel, & Brian's widow Victoria Keith at our reception At long last...the star! Oh, I got my hands on another gem. Some of you may know of Jonathan Banks. He's a great actor who is well know for paying thugs and villains. Talk about someone who is the polar opposite of their on-screen persona! We had the opportunity to meet him at the Hardcastle & McCormick reunion party. He is a dear sweet man who actually held my hand and thanked me for the work the STAR for Brian organization did. I promptly downplayed my participation. (I just donated a little cash and advertised on the H&M board.) I thanked him for providing us with many years of entertainment. Jonathan has appeared in movies such as Airplane, Gremlins, and Beverly Hills Cop. He has also appeared in numerous TV series' such as Hill Street Blues, Simon & Simon, TJ Hooker, Hunter, & Wiseguy. (OK I'm dwelling on the 80's...he's done much more since then.) I didn't get a picture of him myself, but one of the other gals did..He's in blue. Daniel Hugh Kelly is in the background talking to one of the producers (or was it a director?)... Jonathan Banks

Very cool! Thanks for posting that. I've watched Banks for years. In fact just watched him this past season on Shark, and glad to see he's still working.

they weren't on the 1st season set either, BUT those teasers would never had been on the set even if seasons 2 and 3 would have had them. That's because the 1st season teasers were ABC produced using voiceover artist Ernie Anderson. So even when the show popped up and the teasers were aired (as on FX) only the 2nd and 3rd season were intact. I doubt if those 1st season teasers will ever be seen again unless you have access to the original ABC broadcasts. I THINK I have the teasers for the 2nd & 3rd seasons because this is the set that I have & the teasers are available separate from the episodes: www.bradybunchshrine.com/gahforsale.htm

Jonathon Banks also played three separate bad guys on three separate episodes of "Hardcastle & McCormick"... all in the space of one year: - 09/23/84 "Outlaw Champion"
- 02/25/85 "The Birthday Present"
- 09/23/85 "She Ain't Deep But She Sure Runs Fast"
I guess Cannell and Hasburgh know talent when they see it.

Revision: The Hardcastle book is actually being written by the gals who organized the STAR for Brian. They have had contact with everyone including: stunt people, recording artists, producers, directors, writers, Danie Hugh Kelly, Brian's widow Victoria, and some of the guest stars. It'd gonna be great. For more info feel free to stop by the H&M board. gullsway.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=thanks&action=display&thread=52
