Oh, well, to be fair, if it was Pulling a MelMac, the whole post would have ended up with a discussion of fish.
And maybe a cartoon character.
Mac, here's one way to be more brief. Why not combine the two and just talk about Nemo?
Funny. Or you would have to include things like the following: Talking about Nemo because Josie gave me this great idea to combine my favorite topics...so I talked to Six Flags and I will work there part time again this year. I gave them the idea to host Nemo so I can play the part and that will make talking about them easier. I know what you will say, HD, now I am the Jade Nemo or something, but I think this is a positive step to getting my posts shorter don't you? Speaking of fish and cartoon characters, I have this new Aidan and Tony story that I am on. I would tell you, but I don't want to ruin for the people who don't read it...and I know there are a lot of you, but I think this is better than Holly...may Foghorn smack her with a trout...and I think it would be a real consideration for how the suit got passed on and it is not because of Ralph's ego, which I feel was not true and embellished because he is no more egotistical or selfish than say Bill or Tony or Pam and the like. I dare you to deny it! But, my Aidan and Tony story will feature Aidan as Nemo at Six Flags and Tony as a guy who blows up balloons. Oops...I just realized I didn't want to say that...Oh well, maybe it will be changed...you will have to stay tuned to find out. ;D But, Josie, thank you for the idea to keep my posts shorter with the Nemo idea...already it has helped me not run afoul of the word limit in posting...that is amazing...this is ingenious. ************************ So, comparatively, I think billswoman did us a favor by not doing that and keeping all the technical drivel and THEN boring us with the analysis of how it led to her being a Bill fan who likes to screencap his rear end and how she rememberd it from those pot-filled nights in school when she would gaze longingly at his...pistola and just want to touch it...and so on and so forth. Thanks for keeping it simple, kid. I can't belive I'm saying this......... ROTFLMBO ;D This has to be the most literal post HD's ever written, but very funny. (though I can write a spinoff my way as you could write one where Tony is working in the janitor's position at the school and has to deal with cleaning up a restroom after four cherry bombs went off in them.) Now, I would go into a dissertation about how a few of those points are wrong (such as the bit with the spinoff, which I do consider GAHeroine canon but in a different way), but I won't. (You know... given that I've been online longer than any of the posters in this thread, save The J-Man if he's posted here, your definitely quicker to the punch guys). (also Jo, it'd be Miss Limpet, and if you did write a silly plot based on this stuff and a parody, you'd have to include someone unconscious, as I tend to write stories with someone in that condition. )

I'll be happy to show y'all just how verbose and incoherent I can be. I often get in here and on Culpalicious first thing in the morning, prior to my first cuppa coffee, and I go on and on ad nauseum, then think, Screw it, and delete the post I've just typed prior to posting it.
For a week, starting this Sunday (since I work tomorrow), I'll just post, post post and y'all will get a taste of just how wordy, off-topic and flat-out boring I can be, esp. when I get started about my favorite topics: my son, ferrets, Star Trek, John Denver, weather, earthquakes, volcanoes, writing, Robert Culp, GAH, Bill Maxwell, my diet, bicycling, work, my son (oh, did I mention he's my favoritest topic of all?)

You're on! But I think we should add a little addendum to that. I think your first random post should not be super random...as in I think all of those topics you mentioned should be discussed in the first one you do...and then you can branch off into randomness from there. I would love to hear how earthquakes and ferrets help your diet and your son's love of Bill while you ride your bike to work writing on stories that have a Culp focus as he tames the Volcano in the remake of JOE VS. THE VOLCANO...and then go on to say how work is declaring a Star Trek week, but you don't know who to go as so you will go as John Denver...and whoopie doo Scooby Doo...and the like.

Oh, trust me, it doesn't take nary a minutiae of thought to get me started.
As for combining two of those... My son, within 10 minutes of watching his very first GAH, exclaimed, Bill RULES!
What a kid.
(Oh, he also added something on Bill's behalf... when Bill says to Pam, "Bet you're a feminist," my son said in Bill's voice, "Bet you're not wearing a bra either." Muwhahahahaha!)

LOL, naughty boy... actually, he's a very good boy. Thank goodness. I asked him if he's been to Mexico yet (he's in San Diego right now) and he said, Naw, just the partiers go down there.
Fortunately, he's already decided he's not much into alcohol (as I'm not). He was legal drinking age in Germany, while he was in high school, so he's already got it out of his system. So on his days off, he goes to the mall, the beach, movies (a LOT he said). He said, I need a girlfriend to hang out with, Mom.

Today's John Denver's birthday. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr., and apparently never legally changed his name to "John Denver." His given name was on his death certificate. He was born in Roswell, NM, in 1943. His dad was a test pilot in the USAF, and a lt. colonel. I think if there WERE some green guys in Roswell, his dad would've known about it. Or at least I fantasize about it, lol, that "Dutch" knew. Since his dad was nicknamed Dutch (the name's pronounced Dutch-en-dorf), John as "Little Dutch" to his friends in college. He was going for a degree in architecture, till he decided he wanted to pursue his musical career instead. Being the son of a career military man, I always wondered how he managed to not go to Viet Nam. In his autobiography, he explains why... He said he certainly didn't want to dodge the draft, but he would prefer not to go if possible. He'd heard about a doctor that was rather good at finding medical reasons for guys not to go, and John went to him. The doc took one look and said, Well, you don't have anything to worry about! And he pointed at John's feet. Apparently when John was 18, and visiting his Uncle Dean's farm one summer, a hay-mower cut off two toes... making him 4F, and ineligible for the draft. His Uncle Dean wasn't much older than him (his mom's youngest brother), so John looked up to him like a big brother (John was the oldest of two boys). Dean died in his 20s, I think from a car accident, which really tore John up. His song "Matthew" was written about and for his uncle Dean (maybe "Matthew" was Dean's middle name, I don't know). John's only sibling, Ron, is four years younger than him. He's got twin boys, one of whom is named after his grandfather and uncle (John). The twins appear in "Ghostbusters II" as the baby Oscar (Dana Barrett's baby). John and Annie adopted two kids, when they learned John wasn't able to have kids. Zach and Anna Kate. After John married Cassie, he started a natural health regimen, and lo and behold, Cassie ends up pregnant with Jessie Belle, John's only biological child. She was only 8 when John died. His last recorded song (partially completed) is "Yellowstone," that he sings in the Nature episode about him, "Let This Be A Voice." In this episode, he also sings "Eagles and Horses," while they show shots of eagles and horses. That's become one of my favorite songs of his. "My spirit will never be broken nor caught, for the soul is a free flying thing! Like an eagle who needs neither comfort nor thought, to rise up on glorious wings!" "I had a vision of eagles and horses, high on a ridge in a race with the wind. Going higher and higher, faster and faster, on eagles and horses, I'm flying again!" Okay, all done

Here's the pic of the flying superhero guy. : If you want him to glow, like I've had him do for a while, just click the glow funtion, put whatever color you want on him, and change the number to 3,300 or so. (for some reason, trout, et al are not working though.)

You guys through discussing this in my thread? Just wondering. No. You have to get used to people going off the topic in the OT thread...and since you haven't bothered with it every time you are on here, somebody has too. Oh..coincidentally, you DID start it.
