That's the problem.
You're MAC, not Melmac. No wonder there is a misspelling!
Anyway, just noting that you forgot that Claye had his own thread?
Sad. Sad I tell you.
But, do we forget because we don't care.... NO! NOT AT ALL!
We forget cause Claye isn't here enough!

I forget I have a thread of my own sometimes too, let alone Claye's... Sorry Claye.

(To show that I do try to jump in and say hey on all member's diaries: ) Announcer: Showing tonight on Mystery Science Theater 3000"[shadow=red,left,300]MelMac: Pottery, Planet or Mac the Knife?[/shadow] All: C'mon, it's none of the above... it's an anagram! Announcer: Is it... or is it... wait... hmmm... (all of the MST3K group groan...) Servo: Does she even come here and say hi to us? Crow: Don't know... have you seen any kooshes around here? Joel: I guess she forgot again. Mel: Nope, will stop by and say hi more often. (pause) Now... just one question. Why did you watch that weird movie with old Chet from "Emergency!" in there? It was horrible. All three: That's why.

Mike:(Brooklyn accent) He took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. Crow: I need my TV career! I'm no good starring in low budget films! No good! Servo: They later explained his character's disappearance as a prank from Johnny gone tragically wrong... Mike: What about the show? Crow: A prank gone tragically wrong. Servo: That's not how Emergency ended! Crow: Oh.. No, I meant the show itself.. Servo: Ohhh.. I see.. hey wait a minute! "I'm Peter Graves.. How would you like to co-star along with me in a title that will possibly be copied 30 years later and end up the same way this one does?" "Nooooooooooooooo!!!" : NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Hmmm... this thread should be called "Claye's thread that everyone tends to forget at times" - not just that I don't read it. That said, I've been watching more eps of "Last of the Summer Wine" and realized that a lot of the humor in that show could affect just about anyone at any age. Still love the bicycle bit too... that was one of those good ideas going wrong.

But you are most notorious for not reading it. Yes, but it's gone over a month without anyone reading it until today, so I thought the title was too funny.

lol.. Doesn't matter to me. Yes, I agree that anyone could enjoy it, but it's one of those shows that you either "get" or don't "get". Plus I hear the later years repeat the same premise involving a guy in a bathtub rolling down the hill.

Plus I hear the later years repeat the same premise involving a guy in a bathtub rolling down the hill. I've seen them do that too in "Filmation's: The Ghostbusters." It proved to be useful later on in the episode. Of course, I bet the guys in "Summer Wine" do it better... and don't have to deal with a slightly crazy gorilla.

Ever had a computer explode on you? I sure did! Happened Wednesday. My computer wouldn't turn on, so I unplugged it for a while then returned. Tried turning it on and lights would barely flash. I wondered if it was the power supply. Tried it again and it came on for one second. Tried the power button one more time and saw a flash of light reflected on the computer desk where my tower is open along with a *pop* sound. I quickly unplugged it, took it to the computer repair shop that's a few houses down from here and they found the blown capacitors. Mine was a built computer, none of the brand name type stuff and it seemed to be working okay without problems for the last two or three years. Also had XP on it. Luckily the hard drives are okay and I was able to save all my stuff from it. I didn't lose certain placemarks on GoogleEarth that I have. So I bought a new one yesterday from Best Buy. Figured I deserved it. Start off a-new. This one is very nice, one of the HP Pavillion ones with the Quad Phenom CPUs, though it has Vista and I figure I'll try it out. Seems okay so far......... so far....

But, glad you are OK and that you were able to get a new computer (BTW, did you join their rewards program? I ended up getting basically a free DVD because I earned enough points for $15 in prize coupons when I got my computer. )

They gave me a few cards, but I don't really know if I did or not. Didn't pay anything extra for it.

Yes, but mine was beyond repair. When you said "explode", I thought you meant in the literal context. And yes, it is not fun.
