Since we seem to have reached a little impasse here, we shall have to agree to disagree and leave it at that! Have a great Friday! Mona LOL...yes it seems to be that way. Thanks Mona, you too.

I do miss the "thought boxes" that other comics use to get inside the characters' heads. Might help illustrate Ralph and Bill's freaking out more, but I guess I'm just used to that technique. Helps to slow down between panels. As for the red highlights on the cover's cape or the brown in Pam's hair...I just chalk it up to artistic interpretation. After all, black is normally used for detailing and for shadows, so if the cape or hair is black also, it wouldn't show up as well so they had to go with a different color for the highlights. That lends credibility to a theory I've heard in that all the years that Batman was seen wearing blue accessories, they were "really black", just had to be drawn reflecting blue to bring out the detail. (of course, that's just a current theory ) Even now, in which he is obviously wearing black in the comics, shadows and highlights are done in dark gray or brown. When it comes to artists, to each his own, I say. After all, we all know what Ralph's booties *really* look like.

While I haven't read all of the comic right yet - as far as detail - I think that overall they did a good job trying to get a lot of information into this comic.
That said - I did finally figure out in the second comic what the "Wha?" was about from Bill. They were attempting to transition from Ralph's "wha?" when he found out the book was gone to Bill's "wha?" when he fails the polygraph. Both can't believe how this one visit from the greenguys is already affected their life: Ralph now has to figure out how to use the alien technology with NO help and he can't talk to the greenguys, while Bill is amazed that because of his issues with said aliens, he panics and fails a test he's passed for many years.
I was a little disappointed they waited to introduce Pam until near the last panel of the comic, but the panel of someone finding the instruction book made up for it.
