THATS COOL!
I would have worried about either batteries burning out or eventual battery acid leakage.
Big selling point for me!

I must've missed it in the thread, but there're random autographs from William Katt? Where, on or in the instruction book?
I'm convinced I need to get this. Maybe I'd better not wait too long, if there's a limited number of them. I need that instruction book. Oh, well, the other stuff will be cool too I guess.
As for the single page that opens, it looks like that's all that happened in the one shown in DVS. From the images I've seen of the tin's book, it looks identical. But I could be wrong (you'd think after all the times I've seen that ep, I'd be able to tell).

No idea about that. I don't think I got the autograph in mine.

I know that feeling... I thought I had a good chance in the Monopoly game this year getting two of three pieces for a big money winner... and found one of the ones given me was a 2005 one. How... I'll never know. If I get the chance, I might get the collector's set. It won't be until I get settled in and such, but if I do, it'd be a great treat. Just so long as I don't try to blow it up.

No idea about that. I don't think I got the autograph in mine. I think only fifty of them were actually autographed by Katt...if I remember the article correctly. And I am not for sure where it was signed, but you might check EBay, even though people might try to forge it. Better get Lauren to check it for you...she has those Katt autographs to compare it too.

So my question is...Who, that already owns the series, is getting the tin just for the book?

MsBoku, I am. The iron-on transfer will be kind of cool too. I don't care much for the cape, but what the hey, if it's in there too that's all right.

And that, MyTatuo, is reason #43 why I do not post my photo on this board.

What is reason number 42: You might break people's browsers? Nice photoshopping, MyTatuo.

Oh, man. HD.
You're killing me, here.
Bad enough my husband brought home three paper bags last night.
One for me, to put over my face. One for him, to put over his face. And one more to put over the first, just in case the first falls off...

I get this all the time in the form of funny screencaps... But, I have kidded with him in other ways (such as the pillowfight Ralph has to Pam's honor... which he countered with Pam scolding him for using her best down pillows to do it. )

Oh man, I've FINALLY seen the deluxe set for reals, and I was drooling... but alas, I couldn't get it I'd just bought sneakers, and was getting a new CD player, so there goes my discretionary cash for this paycheck. Man, that thing's HEAVY too! I was at Best Buy, and they wanted 89.99 for it. I'm sure I can get it a LOT cheaper, but I like that warm fuzzy of instant gratification. I think if I do get it offline, I'll go to Tower in Seattle. They're the ones that had the RC Collection, the first DVDs I've ever bought. I SOOOO want to see that instruction book, darn it! And the pic of the cape... yeah, that's cheezy. I'd love to have the iron-on transfer, though, to make my own GAH t-shirt.

Another back-handed review of the box set: (This is what the reviewer looks like, in case you need a new dart board cover )

**Sigh**
Dear Ms. Arpe,
You actually like that cape? Well, do you??
Most of us wouldn't be caught dead in it... I mean, we're all about the cheese. But we are also all about the accuracy.
And lady, that ain't it...
So, go ahead and make fun of WK. Go ahead and be excited about a cheesy cape...
Have you even noticed they actually chose the bad reproduction cape over the original songs?
Sincerely, GAH Noir
P.S. - Why don't you go about your business? Who cares what you think, anyway?

This has been out a while. Did anyone else try and get it? Did you get it? Did any of them have the autograph of Katt or others? I am just curious if they are cheaper...they are not at BEST BUY or anything. I like good deals.

I am just curious if they are cheaper...they are not at BEST BUY or anything. I like good deals. I have only seen one around here lately, and it was $100. It's one of last quarter of those issued too. Haven't bought it because of the price and part of the cellophane is torn. If you can manage to wrangle one at a Best Buy (there are a few I think that still have them), or Hastings, you'd probably get a better deal. Holds true with other shows. Suncoast usually has the hard to find stuff - but it's a pretty penny, and that's if you have one in your area.
