Actually, it makes sense to me. Ralph had been outed...and Pam by default. If they can save Bill and Holly the connection to them, it makes sense to make temporary cuts until people have forgotten about them. To me, that makes perfect sense. You will do anything to get people going won't you? It makes sense though. And yes, Mel. That was the point. Duh.

The very first time I watched GAH, I went through all of season 1 including the Heroine one. I about died because I thought that that's how the show ended!! Needless to say, I was very relieved to find the other two seasons. I now watch that episode just to watch the goodbye scene and I get a kick out of Bill telling the story.

I hate how it is on the Season 1 DVD, but I guess they needed another extra to sell the show. They should still have a disclaimer.

Disclaimer: Watching this Failed TV Movie Pilot should only be attempted 1) if irritatingly precocious wise-cracking children do not cause severe nausea in you, 2) if you in general disliked the character of Ralph, 3) if you can believe the idea that the Green Guys have the kind of technology to erase a world wide mediated event from Earthly existence and, 4) you like cloying, selfish, self-righteous cliched women who naturally drink disgusting green vegetable purees. I was thinking more along the lines of Watch This Last after the other two seasons have come out. Yours give too many spoilers.

I don't see why no one likes this episode. It is no worse than others like 30 SECONDS OVER LITTLE TOKYO.

I was literally *crushed* when I saw it. But, once I found the other two seasons on Netflix, I cheered up.

Totally agree - "GAHeroine" was bad acting on the part of the heroine and bad execution of the storyline. I also do not for a minute believe Holly's flight - she looks like she's bobbing on a string. Katt had some minor quibbles on Magicam I've noticed, but overall his flights look more realistic. I don't rank a few eps on Season three highly, but even my two least favorites rank higher than "GAHeroine." THat said, the idea of a female suit wearer isn't impossible, but they need to make sure the person is a. human, b. not perfect and c. has problems with the suit.

Agreed, especially for fans that might not realize the series lasted more than that one season and are confused. It does say spin-off pilot, but it makes it seem like the first season was the only season. It could have been released so much better in my mind too.

She isn't as much fun to look at as Linda Carter either.

When I think back on all the worst things that ever happened in my life, watching GAHeroine does not rank among them. However, that could just be because my mind has completely blocked out the traumatic experience of watching such blasphemy. I do vaguely recall that it may have induced vomiting, however, so watch at your own risk. ;D

I don't know what they were thinking about playing the character like they did. Holly was a camp version of Ralph, and like the above with that Wonder Woman versus the version that Lynda Carter did, it just flat out didn't work.

The version of Wonder Woman was only bad because the lady wasn't as hot as the other character, just like Holly wasn't as hot as Pam. ;D

Q: Should I watch The Greatest American Heroine?
A: Only with your eyes closed.

I watch up to the goodbye scene, because everyone - even Mary Ellen Stuart, though prior to her appearance in the suit - did a good job with a lousy script. Afterward, it's a live action cartoon show. I'd liken it to the days of "Batman" and "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" for the camp factor.
