Mel: I think you are missing the point of this thread. Sooper: Have you written any comics so far or are you just starting? If you have written some, are you going to go back and change them after seeing HEROINE? Give us more info!

Mel: I think you are missing the point of this thread. Sooper: Have you written any comics so far or are you just starting? If you have written some, are you going to go back and change them after seeing HEROINE? Give us more info! No, got the point of the thread. My banter was in reference to your comment: "And I have to say that I am glad someone is going to work on Holly instead of work on ways to get rid of her." I write a spinoff, and Collazo is filming a script with Holly's daughter, both of which removes Holly from the picture - as though she never existed or in Collazo's case, was murdered. This thread with the comments about the comic strip of course would be a continuation of Holly's story, and only Holly - no Morgan or any other unusual scenario that differs from "GAHeroine's" canon-ness.

I think I'm missing some inside jokes here. That's ok. I'll catch up. I have the first 3 pages slapped together. It's rough around the edges, especially from the story background as I'm just making it up as I go along. Hope these don't offend anyone. I am a fan of the transformation scenes.

Before I go any further, I should ask the board - as I don't want to kicked off the first week I joined - I shot about 100 pics. In the beginning, I did a transformation scene, where there's some pics of her getting into the uniform. All are tasteful and there's no nudity or anything like that, but there are a couple shots of her in her nickers. Should I skip those or include them in the comic? Soopy

I don't have any problem with you posting them, but you might want to ask Greenguy or MyTatuo. So this is a live-action comic? Neat. And Mel: I was not singling out you. Others have written "get rid of Holly" stuff. I was commenting to Sooper how refreshing it is to see something new.

Ms B's the only other one I know of who's done one in that way.

I'm going to skip the skimp. The transformation scene is cool and like I said, tasteful, but I'm new here so I'm going to keep it G rated. The other shots were PG-13 so I don't want to get flamed. Next couple frames have Holly now suited up and at the scene of the crime.
This one answers the shoe question. Looks to me like the original had some slipper type of thing going on, but I have no clue where to get something like that - so we had these red shoes to use.
The bad guy is pretty cool too but GAH stomps him.
I was an english major and I think that's why I was drawn to this show. There's always a hero and often a tragic hero and Ralph was that guy. A hero with flaws and in most superhero movies there's very rarely a flaw in the hero. It's that chink in the armor that makes the hero believable and able to relate to. He's the every day guy who falls upon this amazing "thing." But, as I said, I never saw the "heroine" pilot - but it's interesting that it failed and I have thoughts why. Ralph was not a bad looking dude - but if they were to cast for a superhero movie, Robert Culp wouldn't look right standing next to Christopher Reeve.
But, that was what was cool about it and again - without having seen it - they cast a hottie to play the Greatest American Heroine and maybe that's where it went down hill. I've got what I've got as far as a model and being my wife, I'd be killed if I didn't call her beautiful. With that said, if I was making a pilot, I'd cast a very normal, average - every day kind of actress - someone you'd sit next to on the bus, or in the library, etc. Then, the writing and acting would take over but I think the charm of GAH was the character flaws not often associated with main stream heroes like superman or batman. Not to say that Superman and Batman didn't have flaws - Batman obviously had some issues and that's a whole nother deep topic but even Superman - with his difficulty assimilating with Earth culture and struggling with his identity and whatnot. Yet - Ralph was not Batman or Superman, he was Ralph! A regular guy and I think that's what drew people to the series.

Well, the shoes are definitely very Dorothy "I want to go home! I want to go home"-ish! Green Guys must have a female foot fetish to put her in ruby red high heels! Yeah, flawed heroes and especially flawed Feds are definitely the best kind to have. I like your comic styling. A fellow has done the same sort of comic with the old TV show "The Avengers" but did not include a real person in with the action, just drew incredibly realistic cartoons sequences that could have been real. But, the jump to scene to scene, with one's mind filling in the rest is great; I really like that type of comic story presentation if the jumps are smooth and logical and the story flows well. So far, your scene choices are terrific! Please keep going! Mona

Soop: Please click on this link to send me a Private Message: tgah.proboards43.com/index.cgi?action=pmsend&to=mytatuoAnd then send me a link to the "more mature" pics, so I can review them before you post. Since you are simply posting links, they may be fine as long as you put "NOT SAFE FOR WORK!" next to the link, but based on some of the other pictures from the sooperhero .com site, better to be safe than sorry. I would also hate to have to ban you the first week! (joking)

I'm going to hold off on the mature pics. This stuff is quite different than the content on that site. I like the idea of GAH dicing up some dicey characters and figuring her way through some hectic scenarios so I'll hold off on the transformation scene. Mona, yep - those shoes are pretty Wizard of Ozish. That was the best we could come up with in the closet though. Again - such a lack of pics of Holly in costume that I didn't have much to go on. From the one full shot of her it looks like she's wearing flats but I don't know where to get shiny red flats. That's a tough one. Glad you like it so far. Here's the next 4 pages:

I have to say that Holly looks hot! You might try red sneakers for now. It would look dumb but might be easier to move around in. Or get some white flats and make them red.

The initial photo's posted of the female hero costume fit with the guidelines of this board. However the links to comics are another matter. While featuring a fully clothed female, the photos are obviously focusing on certain areas of the models body that some people may find offensive. Not to mention the website itself that is for mature audiences, that I want no link from this site associated with.
I'm not a prude in any way, and I can appreciate anyone who comes up with fan photos, comics, stories, or film that keeps the spirit of TGAH alive. As I want this to be a forum for everyone to feel comfortable visiting, I am locking this thread, and deleting all photo links.
There are fans of the type of material you produce Sooper, and that's okay with me as long as it's not here. You are very creative with the comic panels, and costuming skills. Feel free to join in on anything else TGAH related, as we always love to read other fans thoughts about the show.
