ROTFL, HD. I'm having to keep from roaring with laughter (very tough too) reading this now b/c I'm at work on break, but it's great. Very accurate too. Thanks for the honor of being part of the first 2,000th post. ;D

Oh go ahead...roar with laughter. My poor colleagues here think I'm crazy as is, given I'm about to go on vacation. I don't want them to quite think I'm off the deep end as it were. But, don't worry, I'll be roaring with laughter again when I read it later tonight.

I think you should print it out and put it in your cubicle.

I think you should print it out and put it in your cubicle. Open air newsroom. Have fun walking around the morgue though. Given that area used to have a printing press, it's huge, quiet and feels a bit like one at times. But, I will probably print it out and put in my scrapbook.

I got that idea today somehow and I just jotted it down. Maybe I should do one for other people on the boards...I have done you and Greenguy...and the other surprise one...maybe I should have my own song thread where anyone can adapt songs about the series or about board members (as long as it is positive). Hmmmmm....any takers?

Hmmmmm....any takers? Don't know, maybe you ought to try doing another one later on for someone else, or post the board one in a separate thread and take requests for a personal one. Now, I'm trying to think of a new commercial, but my mind's fried right now in that regard.

My plan worked...I was able to shut your mind down because every time you go to think...you can only laugh. Your commercials were nowhere near close by the way.

Hey, it was an impromptu with no basis for writing, you know. I did a pretty good job writing one without any knowledge of what you were writing. Still, it is partially right, since it mentions Texas (as I did in the commercial) as I don't know many other Texans on the boards, except scenario, and he hasn't posted here for awhile either.

Now you will be humming your own tune on vacation...people will think you have flipped your lid.

Now you will be humming your own tune on vacation...people will think you have flipped your lid. Only if I sing it. Used to do a mascot sketch to "Secret Agent Man," though, so my friends at home will probably think I'm reminiscing.

Yes, but this is TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL, not that other song.

Yes, but this is TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL, not that other song. Yeah, at least I don't have to worry about megaphones that will bite back as it were or the mystery of the missing pom-pons (part of the sketch).

You know, reading the Texas Juggle Girl song again, I can see how the tune can get stuck in your head (but in a good way ). But, instead of juggling, I've got the old mascot sketch stuck in my head, so much so I picked up my state championship ring (football (as mascot) and wore it to work today. Odd that, but oh well. Anyway, as far as juggling, I've taken a break from it today, as I'm getting things together for my vacation. But, the routines are going well and should look great by the time the first rehearsals start (which should be Jan. 7). Rehearsals will be that day and the next two Saturdays, then the show is Jan. 22. Right now, I also have to get a longsleeved red shirt so I can make the shirt during the holidays and have one thing nipped in the bud early. Now, trying not to kick the bucket up to where it nearly hits my head is another issue.

Just because Santy Claus can now rest, you can't....work work work! *Humming theme to Texas Juggle Girl as he works way back around GAH board* Yes I can, well at least in regard to work. I'm off until just after the New Year. A *much* needed rest, BTW, but at least we didn't have a bank robbery on Christmas Eve like last year. That was crazy enough as was. But, I've worked out most of the kinks in my juggling routine (well, maybe not the bucket ), so that's a step in the right direction.

This is a bit embarrassing right now, as I wanted my 1,500th post to be something interesting. Unfortunately, the PTB here at my family's are insisting I get off. As I'm going to be gone til Jan. 3, I wanted to see what it was first. And, when I return, I'll post what I originally had planned (a commercial with pics). Well, it's been nine months since I first joined the boards. There have been several people who've come and gone on the boards, but the one thing that brings us together still stands: Our love for "The Greatest American Hero." Since I joined in March (restarted in April), there've been many crazy captions, an interactive story thread (and hiatus) and great fan art. We've had a quarrels and make=ups, and even poked fun (always good humor) at the characters and ourselves. So, in the spirit of the thread, I retire my superhero status and become: [glow=red,2,300]Apprentice Warlock [/glow] (sorry, had to modify it just to be sure I was getting this and not something odd) And, as I won't be back until the New Years, I wanted to wish each and everyone of you a safe holiday season. Have fun, be careful, and if you drink, don't drive and get a designated driver. See you Jan. 3 for the unveiling of the Next Interactive Game thread story. Until then, take care.

Have a great time. Where is my hankie after that drivel? Very funny, HD, but I wanted to say that since I'm also the first Senior member (joining more than 4 months ago ) to get a fifth star. But you're right, it's a bit drivel, but all truth. So, in light of all this drivel and humor, I will "see" you all when I get back. Happy New Years, and be careful.

Happy New Years. Took you long enough to get that fifth star too.
