Congrats on hitting the millenium mark Lauren! ;D This was too funny... and you do bring up an interesting suit power idea. Might be good in one of your stories.

Congrats!
That was pretty funny... I LOVE the picture of you flying. I laugh my arse off every time I see it.

Thanks, Jo! I was laughing just having that picture taken! I was just glad the coworker I'd asked to take the picture was able to fend off her laughter long enough to get a clear shot of me. The other two in the picture were trying to ignore me.

The other two in the picture were trying to ignore me. It would have been better if it WAS blurred... as if you were really flying like Ralph!

I could blur it in photo editing...

I could blur it in photo editing... That'd be neat. It's also neat to see that your friend taking the photo had a lot of fun taking pics as well. She seemed to understand the humor while your co-workers were a bit more straightlaced. At least it looks like one dressed up for the day, which would've been fun to do. Shame really, but then again people just seem to take themselves a little too seriously. I dressed up as a clown (in a ragdoll-looking, but fitted at the waist, outfit), cowgirl, scarecrow and pirate during my tenure at Fiesta Texas (not to mention a few other characters. ) and I was 27-28. People 10 years younger were like "OK, we wore the outfit, can we get out?"

I know one of the other girls never heard of the show (sacrilege! ), while the other is more straight-laced (she didn't go along with our suggestions of her dressing up as a pumpkin as it would've been perfect because she was pregnant at the time). That was a fun year. I might wear the suit again this year, if I don't invent something else.

Lauren, I have to say that I love the picture of you flying too...helped me with many of the captions in the original caption thread. I hope you have saved them to your computer for posterity.

YEAH! That's great news!
So, now.... can you give us all some money?
(I am unfortunately at the top of where I can be where I work. I would have to leave to get a better job.)

How about when I get some free money, I'll share, okay?

Free money... only time that happens is when I find it on the ground Still, with gas prices going up, it's not a surprise people feel this way. (Even in "oil rich, Ewing-esque lands" of Texas the gas is now $3 in some parts.) But, it's always nice to get a promotion, and I wish you the best Lauren.

Thank you, everyone, for the congratulations. I'm really looking forward to sliding into my new role. And I'm paying $3.19 for the mid-grade gas (it's $3.09 for regular).

It's now $3.06 some places here, and even Corpus Christi, usually the cheapest in the state, is now approaching $2.94. Some have tried $3.16, but when they get their pumps locked for it, they reduce it PDQ. Saw this happen on 9/11 when a gas station got them locked for going up $1 (from $0.99 to $1.99) Now I wish we had that $1.99 now. (At least I've got good gas mileage on my car and I get paid decent mileage. )
