Thanks, but nope, still an at home business and need my day job. That said... it's an "In your face" to those who said I couldn't (where I am, not present company ). I get more irritated at people who think that I shouldn't do things because I'm a woman and because of that I'm somehow "inferior" to them - be it jewelrymaking, photography, writing, just life in general.

It has been VERY weird today to catch the state football playoffs today on TV and one of the towns competing for the title is a city that is the same name as yours (well - proper). They also won the title.

Yamma Yamma Yammma. My My it has been a while lol Maybe I need to travel back here more often. lol Do my profession - then you travel a LOT... and to really interesting places such as the football stadium practically in the middle of nowhere after doing about 10-12 hairpoint turns it feels. We do miss you Nicol, and you need to come on her more often - as do I apparently.

Haven't commented in a long while, but it's been very busy. I recently took on more assignments for my job as a photographer for the paper. Love it, but it keeps me rather busy.
Just this past week, we also had to deal with a tornado that hit town. Fortunately, it was a weak one (I say this but the winds were close to 85 mph), but the damage was bad. Can't really say much about the shots except it's one of those after I got into the car, I cried because I was thankful that no one was hurt in one building - a tree fell on it and had that tree fallen just five minutes later, people would've died as the tree branches were touching chair seats.
I still read and post a lot on this board when I can but this is why I've been pretty quiet lately.

Wow. No yamma yamma yamma since 2013? MelMac must be getting old. Old? - Try that again at the end of the Month HD when I turn another year. And even now, celebrating my 20th year out of High School, I STILL have the occasional teacher try to card me as a student. Oh and that's on top of the fact I've been in the same town nearly 11 years and I'm recognizeable - even if not by my own name, my job (small town, this is common). But - I have been busy, having done the following since 2013: 0. Become an aunt. (I use zero because this is honestly the coolest thing - I have two nephews and a niece). 1. Done three half marathons raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year, she's also seriously considering dressing up as Gordon Tracy of the "Thunderbirds" if she raises enough money to do so. I really enjoy doing this event, especially during the section you go through the St. Jude Hospital Campus (many patients in remission and their parents sit here and cheer us on), and when this bagpipe group plays at mile 4. I will concede though I still haven't figured out why they've had booths for rice, and TOAST (complete with samples of bread and English muffins) during the expo though. 2. Covered more playoffs for high school sports that have kept her extremely busy. 3. Kept her fused glass business going strong. 4. Started taking up leather tooling again, as well as some wire work bracelets. This year, I plan on entering a Yo-yo holder and a dog collar (which I originally bought to turn into a bracelet) for the upcoming fair. 5. Looked at a sewing machine and threaded it for someone learning to sew - not having used a sewing machine in 9 years. 6. Traveled enough miles in her job to cross Texas at least 3-4 times. Poor car is getting old - I'm probably going to have to trade for a new one before the end of the year (it only has 272,000+ miles on it). 7. Been to Florida twice, going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot a total of four times over those two times. 8. Actually been in not one, but two of those between innings games during Astros Spring training (over two different games). Had no chance of winning the first one - only girl against two men in a trike race, but did win the "Don't Forget the Lyrics" contest. Got a really neat T-shirt, but the audience's laughter and getting to jump up and down on the Detroit Tiger's dugout (they were leading at the time during the game) was worth it. So... Does that help HD?

Good to see you around again Mel.
A girl I work with can juggle. When I found that out, I immediately thought of you. She's a photographer/editor, when she's out doing a live shot for us I always called her "juggler" when giving her a "stand by" etc.
She likes the code name...LOL

Thanks Greenguy. It's good to be able to post here once in a while when it's not super busy.
I forgot to mention I'm also a part of a vaudeville show here in town as a juggler. I perform in both acts - one western themed and one in the '20s as - not kidding - a newsboy (complete with juggling rolled up papers). It's conducted at a restored theater here in town (about 100 years old) and it's my favorite venue to perform in (just barely taking the amphitheater in Palo Duro Canyon in the top spot).
Of course, now it's nearing fair time as well as sports. At least I know what photos I'm going to enter - just got to get them out in the folder to print. The one good thing though is the group who judges the arts and crafts this year at least should know what fused glass is (there's one that doesn't, and last year they gave me a red ribbon for a difficult to make Dodson flag - a Texas historical flag. Still haven't figured that one out unless they thought it was resin).

*Hums 'Texas Juggle Girl'*

*Hums 'Texas Juggle Girl'* I guess for the Western era that would fit. For the 1920s era (second act), I play "Nicky the Newsboy" (I have to play a male in order to wear pants in either act to keep accurate to period). The theater we perform in is awesome and has good acoustics. We found this out the hard way when I had to do my opening speech for the second act. Let's just say they do NOT mike me unless the full band is playing, and even then he has it at half volume. (shorter version - back in 1999-2000, the "TEXAS" musical drama did not mike folks so I had to learn how to project my voice in an open aired amphitheater with - on average - 1,500 guests a night. Hasn't faded all these years later when I have to use it).

Does anyone know if the PS. I LUV U series on DVD is legit? I would like to buy it and see it because I've heard great things, especially from Connie fans. However, I can't find anything on it.

No, the series has never had a release. I've had to make do with my off air recordings I think the one I saw advertised was probably recorded off TV and then put on DVD format. I've never seen it, but it looks like a cool show from what I've read. Any insight on it, GG?
