*brrr* I can't feel my fingers. It must be down to almost SIXTY degrees here! And the past week it's been sprinkling off and on, which has added at least 10 minutes to my commute back and forth! And whew, you wanna talk about windy?!
I hate SoCal winters *brrr*...

I showed the kids the best in the black the other day and A thought occurred to me. Maybe Sheila was controlling Tony to open the door because she knew Bill would run over to stop him. I mean I would think that Tony would Stop trying to open the door. something to debate about.

I don't. He doesn't listen to Bill on a regular basis. Why would he SUDDENLY start listening to him?

Plus... Tony would be thinking "Hey, this door we can get $5 from... wonder if there's a treasure cave behind it given how big da door is."
(Well... that might be silly, but he does look like he has some thought going on in his head about said door).

That works too... but he could have mice rolling around in that sqeaky wheel in his head.

That is one thing about So Cal in the winter.. You can always tell who is the tourist and who is the resident Californian.
Tourist: Wearing Short sleeves and shorts in Resident: Wearing long sleeves & pants plus a winter jacket...

Got the funniest looks when I'd come home for Christmas break from college. I didn't wear a jacket, but a lot of people were bundled up in heavy coats. Thing was, where I had been was 38 or so, at home - around 60-62.

Learned today there are a lot of words and customs going on with Kwanzaa. It was quite a fun little program at the library to listen to, and the kids really got into playing the instruments, a few even dancing. It was quite funny. ;D
Another plus side, went home and drove through downtown here and enjoyed the lights and store window decorations. Really like the courthouse lights, as all they do is outline the windows with blue lights. It matches the courthouse's design well. It's subtle, and definitely not the 20 billion (yes exaggeration but close) lights like they do to the courthouse in New Braunfels.

Literalism reason - you're closer to the North Pole. My reason... because someone manages to pay big bucks to keep it warm so they can have Disney World and Knott's Farm open year round so they can make big money. (OK... that's a bit silly. )

To those who are in the warmer weather... I hate you all. We got MAJORLY dumped on today. It was so bad, I got to leave work early so I could get home before the worse of it (I did) & they apparently closed early, too, which hardly ever happens. We got probably 10 inches of the fluffy stuff, but it still took 1+ hour to clean up our driveway & yard.

While I kid about the "warmer" (or reality - yo-yo weather) here, I've also dealt with the cold 6 to 10-inch fallings of snow myself. The black ice bit was from one, and my first year at the college we had snow falling in clumps the size of bread plates. Got back to my dorm covered in snow (made worse because it stuck on the chenille and felt of my letterman jacket), given it was about a quarter mile walk.

This is almost as wild as my story of how I had to walk a quarter mile in snow, ice and black ice in below freezing tempreatures in order to vote in the 2000 election. And I'm not fooling with the walking - they had ballot boxes at the university.
