I don't know, maybe they could also do a story where Pam gets the suit, as well as possibly switching places. Also, I'd kinda like to see a story where a family tie to the past affects Ralph, Bill or Pam - possibly a combo. Example, maybe there's a book of secrets one of the trio's family left on an old ship that holds top secrets that now some force wants to get. Don't know, there's a lot of possibilites - they just need to be searched out. I GOT IT!!! How about this one ....... What IF!! Ralph never lost the instruction book .. where would they be? nowthat would be an interesting look at how things could ahve gone. By George! You may be on to something.

Well, I was kinda referring to actual naval ships (i.e. Lexington, Enterprise, Battleship Texas), but that's a good idea as well.

SONNAVVA@#$%^&*!!!! In my sequel series that I was planning to adapt into fanfiction if I couldn't make it live-action fanfilms, the two mains are brought together by a mysterious text message and an email! I thought that would be a real 21st-Century method for the greenguys to communicate... but as usual, every time I have an idea someone else in the right place gets the jump! Happened years ago when Star Trek: The Next Generation was accepting outside scripts...while I was in the middle of drafting one, an episode airs that is too similar to let me continue. Happened more than once. Frustrating being stuck in an area with no one to bounce ideas off of. I know how Mike Nesmith felt when he started working with the Monkees...being a songwriter yet not allowed to actually write anything. Now I'm afraid people would think "ehh...he ripped that off from the GAH comic book" when I came up with that years ago. That's what I get for procrastinating. Yeah, I know that in this age of communication it would make perfect sense for the aliens to send messages that way, and really isn't that big of a deal...but when you have what you think are pretty good ideas and then someone in a better place and a better time gets the same idea out first-- constantly -- it really makes me want to quit trying. Ok, I'm through wallowing in self-pity for the moment. Ahem.... The characters are well-drawn. It does seem a little weird seeing Bill Maxwell with a cell phone. Nice how he still doesn't grasp all this hi-tech stuff...I'm only 37 and have no interest whatsoever in text-messaging. And even if I did, I would never ever ever use the phrase "BFF" or any such jargon m'self. I guess he would have to be a Vietnam vet now rather than Korean. At least that still contributes to his anti-"commie pinko" mentality. That wouldn't affect his episode with Captain Tracy either. But imagine a GAH remake in the year 2040 with a Maxwell who served in the Iraq war! He would no doubt be a completely different character by then. (But of course, with the possibility of another conflict with Russia hanging over our heads, history just might repeat itself to the point where a future Maxwell would still be fighting the "Ruskies!")

The drawing of Maxwell is only so-so in my opinion. Somehow the artist can't QUITE get the face right. Close, but not quite right. Maybe it gets better as the series progresses. Got the glasses, though! Mona (and I don't know how to text message on my cell phone either!--what does "BFF" mean?

Don't text message myself, but it's one a few I actually know. Personally, overall I thought Bill's rendering is very true to Culp and Bill's face. There is one exception - the panel where Ralph says "I can't get it open - Bill's face looks a lot like Robert Wagner instead of Robert Culp. This case, the bottom part of the face is a little too round, and Culp's got a more angled jaw. Then again, I think all of the drawings - whether Katt, Culp or the fill in extra characters, look great. From an artist's point of view, drawing real people into comics is very difficult to do, and action and emotion pics in comics are never going to be exactly what we see on film. And, it's an ashcan, so it could get even better than what we're seeing on all the actors.

It IS hard to do faces and facial features without a big eraser or the eraser tool on photoshop. This is why I'm afraid to do ink drawings a lot of times. I thought Maxwell looked good on this. I only question Ralph in the bottom panel. His cheeks look too puffy or maybe his mouth is a bit small, but with what I said in the first couple sentences I'm not going to slam it that much. It's hard, but I think it's great that it's even being done here. Can't wait for it to come out in stores!
