I'm extremely excited by the news that William Katt is apparently coming to a convention here in Melbourne, Australia, in just a couple of weeks!!! I nearly fell off my chair when I found out! Here's the link, if anyone's curious: www.armageddonexpo.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=17:william-katt&catid=1:special-guests&Itemid=7" Event Autograph signing times - BOTH DAYS CELEBRITY GUESTS At the celebrity signing area - [glow=red,2,300]William Katt[/glow], Ernie Hudson, David Hewlett, Andee Frizzell, Doug Jones, Nalini Krishan Signing 10am to Noon and 2.30pm until 5pm Autographs $30.00 each." Hhhmmmmm. I'll have to put some serious money aside. I may want to get more than one thing signed. I'll be happy to say the traditional forum line to him, too. Squeeeeeeeeeeee! ;D Feel the love. dolfyn. How did you find this btw?

^ I have some lovely friends here in Melbourne who I only met in the last couple of years online, who have very similar geeky tastes as me. They love a lot of the same comedy & sci-fi & superhero stuff, etc. I even went to the 3rd Annual Zombie Shuffle in Melbourne a few months ago with them; that's where a whole bunch of people dress as zombies, gather in the city, & walk through the city on a pre-determined route. It was hilarious & I got some great photos! Anyway, one of them found out about this expo & emailed the rest of us asking if we wanted to go. While I was looking through all the stuff on the site, I stumbled across one simple sentence stating that WK's appearing in place of Adam West. I had to contain my squeeing because I was at work at the time! ;D That was the long explanation. Feel the love. dolfyn.

That's awesome though!

So dolfyn. Are you getting ready? I had a feeling you'd get a chance to meet him. So what are you doing to prepare for it? What is your itinerary going to be like? What plans do you have? And don't forget to tell him Marci says G'day mate!

And don't forget to tell him Marci says G'day mate! Hmmm ... at the rate you keep saying this, if I actually get to meet him, the first words I'll say will not be "Hi." No, instead it'll be "Marci says hi..." *Pause... * Marci, when you see WK the next time, be sure to say that Dolfyn and Mel say hi. ;D

^ heheheee. It'll be like a password; "Marci says 'hi', Mr Katt". So dolfyn. Are you getting ready? I had a feeling you'd get a chance to meet him. So what are you doing to prepare for it? What is your itinerary going to be like? What plans do you have? And don't forget to tell him Marci says G'day mate! Yeah, it's funny, but I had a feeling I'd get to meet him too! One of my friends keeps calling me a celebrity magnet. hehee. I'm getting rather excited, plus a little nervous that something may go wrong (I always feel like that). I know all the times of his various events (ie. autograph sessions, photo session & panel discussion). I've also printed out a map of the venue. Also today, I've been testing the best way to print everyone's messages; of course it takes A LOT of ink because of the black background of the board. I think it'll work ok, though. I hope everyone contributes to the messages for him. I think he'll be quite touched by everyone's efforts. 5 more sleeps!!! ;D Feel the (excited) love. dolfyn.

Well 1st thing is remember to breathe. When he talks to you don't pass out. It's ok if you get weak knees. I did. I did everything in my power not to pass out. (Which worked) You don't want to miss anything. As far as the letters, why not copy and paste so you have white background. If you have a video camera don't forget to use it, make sure the battery is charged, if digital, make sure you have enough space on your card. Don't forget to get your autographs. But most importantly, donn't forget to tell him I said Hello.

As far as the letters, why not copy and paste so you have white background. Only thing I'd wonder is that I know at least one person who's going to do a little piece of art too in their greetings. So, if we do this, should they also go and find a way to post that in a spot where she can print it on a white background. (Pause) Then again, they could probably print a picture of it at the store and add it to the lot - and it'd be in color.

OK (shouts toward California): [shadow=red,left,300] Hey, Mr. Katt... Marci says HI! [/shadow] (Well... that's the best I can do as far as actually telling him. )

^ Actually Mel, he's probably either in New Zealand because they had their expo last weekend, or already in Melbourne right now for this weekend. Nicol, I'm going on Saturday 1st November, because that's the only day he's doing a panel discussion. Ms B, thanks for the tips. I don't think I'll faint or forget to breathe or anything; I was fairly calm when I met Simon Pegg last year (although I was going "Aaaarrrgghh!" on the inside!). heheee. I'm going to video with my digital camera, because I have a 2gb memory card in it, & I'm going to take photos with the camera in my phone because it's a 5 megapixel camera. I'll be checking batteries, etc. before I go, too. I've tried to plan ahead as much as I can. ;D As for the printing, the only copy & paste I can do onto a white background would mean losing all the HTML codes, which would mean no pictures or various typing fonts. It's fine, I'll print it with the black background; I just hope I don't make my work printer run out of toner!!! I can't print it on the colour printer, because the last time I tried to print some photos on it, the stupid thing jammed up! So Ms B, you want me to say "hi" to him for you? Is that right? ;D 4 more sleeps! Woo! Feel the love. dolfyn.

Still plan on designing that one room, and I had an idea too to share too. This is one room I'd really like to include in my salutations, so I don't want to go "I give up" and get trouted with a bucket of shrimp.

Mel, reading another "be sure to tell him Marci says hi," seriously thinks that if she gets to meet Katt it'll either be:
a. After giving blood and she faints from being a pint low and the surprise of him actually visiting Texas...
Or b. the first words she says are "Marci says hi." instead of "Hi, Mr. Katt, welcome to Texas."

Someday Marci - to the best of my knowledge he isn't coming here anytime soon except to possibly film a movie - which I don't think he is. Think the last time he was here was for "Rough Riders" and in West Texas at the time. Wish I knew exactly where that show was filmed - at least part of it.
