Both Willian Katt and Robert Culp are appearing at a local NY convention this weekend! I can't believe I'll get the chance to meet both of them! Two of my childhood heros! Any suggestions on what to say? I think I am going to be speechless!!! I have no idea what to get signed...but Im sure they will have stuff there to buy. If anyone is in the NY/NJ area....here is the website for the convention: www.chillertheatre.com/

You'll find the thread for this in the "Guests welcomed" area, whoo hoo!! Some of the east-coasters are already planning on going, and we left-coasters are insanely jealous, to see Culp and Katt at the same time Okay, at least I'm insanely jealous. One of my online buddies, a fellow Roger Healey fan, has her brother going for her to get autographs from the I Dream of Jeannie folks. He lives in NJ.

I'm going Sunday. On the one hand, I really hope I don't make a total dick out of myself in front of Culp. On the other hand, I will be wearing what I wear in my avatar pic, so...

Make yourself a total "thingy", huh?

I didn't write "thingy", I wrote "dick". The forum has some kind of obscenity filter that doesn't allow it to go through. just as an experiment, let's see what happens when I type the name of the star of "Eight is Enough": Dick Van Patton.

So it's Saturday morning, I'm reviewing this thread, and all I could do was whine... They're meeting Robert Culp today Hey, you folks going to this can solve our current mystery in another thread: Just how tall are Culp and Katt? Does Culp really almost tower over Katt, like it looks like in a few shots (the pilot, by Bill's car, and the end of 'Who's Woo...' are two examples that come to mind.)

Yes, J-Man...that filter really ruins conversations sometimes. Billswoman, ready for our pity party?

When this left-coaster met Billy and Bobby in Burbank, he took these pics: (And the dude in the red shirt measures 6'2")

I think that he probably shrank with age and that he was taller than Ralph in the shows naturally.

*insanely jealous and depressed, as I am a bottom-right coaster, and have no means to get to NY/NJ. . .* WHY THE FREAK CAN'T THEY HAVE ANY OF THESE CONS IN ATLANTA? I CAN GET TO ATLANTA!!!!!!!

Yeah, Culp looks like he got a wee bit shorter with age, so I think the 6'2" is right for him. My mom was 6' tall herself, and ended up at 5'9" before she passed away (still taller than me, I can't imagine having a mom shorter than me!)

...I can't imagine having a mom shorter than me!) At 5'6", I'm the towering giant of my family (including mom and dad).

Some people have parents that are shorter. I'm the second shortest on both sides of the family, so I sometimes get height jokes. At 5'7", I'm just barely taller than Mom. Or, if you want to add insult to injury, try having people make you shorter than you are. I kept getting measured as 5'4" or 5'5" during my days as a volleyball player. I was actually in the middle of the team's average height (5'7"), so I knew it was wrong, and they corrected it. (Not that it meant anything. I could jump just as high above the net as our tallest players, so the stats were just for team comparisons.) Back on topic, after reading the comments about the convention, it makes me wish I could go to one. Sadly, I'm on a tight budget right now and cannot attend them. I do want to say thanks though to those who have posted messages about their experiences, etc., as they let us get a look at what conventions are about and allows us to dream, which is a good thing.

You are short. I usually get measure a little taller because midget doctors have to stand on precarious balances to measure me and they just round up.

Culp looked really great in that photo (I mean come on, 75??? that's awesome) and I still think Katt looks like he just smoked a few joints.
