Mill Creek Entertainment has set March 9th for the release of Tenspeed and Brownshoe the complete series, Wiseguy The Collector's Edition, and the re-releases of Silk Stalkings and The Commish both season one. Very cool to see Tenspeed and Brownshoe released as it was so short lived. Now if we could see The Rousters, Top of The Hill, and UNSUB. Go to www.tvshowsondvd.com for more in depth info on the releases.

Thanks for the head's up Greenguy. I wish he'd have them release "Top of the Hill" because I'd like to see Katt in a series other than "Mason" or "GAH." I've been pleased with "Hotel" and "Starhunter," the two series I do have with one of the actors in another role.

It would be nice to see Top of The Hill, especially since all the episodes did not air. If I remember right, the final five have never been broadcast. At least not here in the U.S. Total the series had a 2 hr. pilot, and 12 one hour episodes.

Sheesh... they didn't show all of it huh? Kinda makes it a bit of an inside joke given "GAH" had the same thing happen to it. But at 12 eps and a 2 hour pilot, there's plenty of stuff - even if it's a vanilla CD - to release the series. I do remember watching a little of it, but it's been a long time and I probably have a few things mixed up in it.

Looks like I'll finally get to see the final three episodes of "Wiseguy" after patiently waiting for nineteen-and-a-half years.
I can't say I'm surprised to see the entire 7-episode music-industry arc excluded. The only reason I bought Debbie Harry's "Def, Dumb, and Blonde" was because of hearing her sing "Brite Side" on the show. That arc has quite the all-star guest cast, too: Glen Frey, Mic Fleetwood, Tim Curry, Paul Winfield, Paul McCrane, and a kick-butt cameo by Steven Williams (one of my all-time favorite TV moments ever!). Oh well, can't have it all. Can't have the 1996 reunion movie either, apparently; at least, not with this box set.
But hey, we do get absolutely everything else! I'm especially looking forward to having Vinnie's final arcs on DVD. Those were intense as heck. And the final season with Newguy. BTW, can you imagine how impossible to deal with Ken Wahl must have been, to get fired from "Wiseguy" when he was the one playing "Wiseguy"!
I'm also looking forward to the episodes where film critic Jeffrey Lyons and the guy from The Fabulous Thunderbirds guest star as themselves (not one of the music industry episodes). I just love it when real people appear as themselves!

So the box set of the entire series is not complete? What a waste.

Well, in all fairness, it was never advertised as a box set of the entire series. It's being marketed as "The Collector's Edition", much like the recent release of "Booker", which was missing two episodes.

I hate it when series will cut out episodes in DVD releases.

TENSPEED AND BROWNSHOE won't be a complete set either. Apparently the pilot won't be included in the series released by Mill Creek.

This is a worrisome possibility, and, unfortunately, the packaging at Mill Creek's website seems to suggest just that. Greenguy, do you have a link to the press release you're referring to. Any other way to find out if Mill Creek's pre-release info is less-than-complete?

You are correct J. I went back and looked though my material and my mistake, the MC press release was not specific. It was the info on tvshowsondvd that I remembered. I just sent an e mail to a contact at MC asking about the pilot. I'll let you know as soon as I get a response.

Yep...check this out. My contacts reply: The pilot movie is owned by CBS and efforts to secure this for release have thus far been unsuccessful.Okay...whats up with that? CBS? We all know the series aired on ABC, and I was always under the impression Tenspeed was the first out of the gate from Cannell's company on his own, with his own cash for the production, etc. Some sort of backend production deal with CBS? Did someone who owned a bit of the show sell out to CBS? Interesting....

I hate that. It's such a short-lived series as it is anyway.
