Hi all:
New member here: longimt fan of the show but a recent discoverer of this site
I have seen many references to the GAHeroine script called "The Greatest American Hero: Take Two" and penned by Babs Greyhosky. While I have seen the pilot itself on youtube, I was hoping to see how myself how this differed from the original script. Can someone provide me with a link to the script? I had no luck finding it on the interlinks and could not find it on the forum.
Thanks in advance for any help!

While I have no knowledge of a link that would allow you read the script online, I can tell you a copy can be purchased at this script dealer: www.planetmegamall.com/screenplays/TV_scripts_G.htmlPortions of the 2 hr made for tv movie script are vastly different from what was eventually produced. Hope you enjoy the site!

Hi Greenguy:
Thanks for the infos! While a pdf would have been better (for ipad or kndle), paper will work. I have not used this vendor before: I assume others have had success with them?

No problem, glad I could at least point you in the direction for a copy. I've purchased from the company once, back a few months ago. Everything went fine, and my scripts arrived in good shape. A quick search turned this one up also: us.ebid.net/for-sale/greatest-american-heroine-unaired-2-hour-pilot-script-47507644.htmHowever, I personally have never used ebid so I can't help you with info on that one. I'm sure it depends on the seller being reliable.

Monkeyman, I can't help you personally, but one of the members here has read the script - mmderdekea, and she wrote a summary of it here: www.tgah.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Heroine&thread=1736&page=1Read mmderdekea's long post a bit down the thread - I think it's her first post on this page. Please note, in case this link by chance sends you to the main page, go back to the "GAHeroine" folder, and then go down to the "Look what I found in my Dad's garage" thread. As far as the actual script, you'll probably need to go through the link greenguy gave you though - none of us that I know of save Mona have read the actual script. IMHO though - from the sound of things, we were lucky that we got the pilot we did. It could've been worse.

My apologies greenguy. I only knew Mona had because she had read it and done the summary I think while you were away from the boards. From what I've gotten as a gist of the story, I sometimes feel like we got a better version of it edited. What did you think comparing script to screen greenguy?

GG has read anything and everything! ;D True, but he'd also be the first to admit that he didn't know the game used in "Wizards and Warlocks" was Intellivision and not Atari. Had to correct him on that one. That said - Greenguy can quote just about anything and everything about the show - and honestly is the reason why I was able to just start up and enjoy the show again. I had to delay purchasing season three because of financial reasons, but reading the summaries and the like GG created on the main site (the old one and then the ones in the top folder) allowed me to imagine what the stories were going to be like. And - I'm pleased to say that all were like I pictured them. Out of all three, I had a pretty good guess of what to expect... EXCEPT with "GAHeroine" - here I thought the handover was more serious and the woman took the responsibility more seriously.

I liked the complete 2 hr script better. If anything because it gave us a bit more of the original trio. Plus the spectacular opening with Ralph battling guys with guns and a helicopter above the city would have been cool. We only get the very end of the scene in the produced pilot with Ralph dropping to the ground with the girl. However on the downside, when I read the script and imagine Stewart reading Holly's lines in the unproduced portion I cringe...LOL

Had to correct him on that one. Are you sure Mel? I was aware that it was Intellivision not Atari as one of my friends back then had the game system. He even had the very game Ralph "plays" in the episode. I thought it was the actual game being played that I could not remember, but the system I knew about. If I ever said Atari I must have been feverish. Heck I STILL cannot remember what that game was called. Was it Dungeons and Dragons? Or a look alike type of game?

Maybe it was an arcade game or like you listed, and as far as I remember, all I remember was mentioning it was Intellivision and having to correct it. (and yep, I had the game system too - wishing that we'd still have games like Q-Bert and Burgertime now). The game WAS called "Dungeons and Dragons" though. In fact, they created a second version of it where you were in the POV of the archer/runner/whatever he wanted to be then battling the monsters. This one I think was created when Intellivision created a voicebox that allowed the game to talk. You had to stick it into the main game system the the game in the provided slot. I personally wasn't too fond of it because sometimes, particularly with "B-17 Bomber" it sounded like a run-down robot on depressants.

Jeez I know better than that! ;D Thanks for confirming it WAS Dungeons & Dragons and not just a game that looked like it but called something else. If I remember correctly, although the name is not seen on screen the coin op game Katt was faking with was Tempest. Unless I'm foggy again...LOL

No you can't at all. The funniest thing is that the government is so dead set on exposing Ralph that they toss a woman from a high building just to make him catch her. This after already seeing proof of his powers in his battle with the chopper. His also grabs the birds skid and forces it down to a roof, and bends the rotors. Then he takes on guys with automatic weapons and and puts the kabosh on them all BEFORE the girl is tossed from the window.

For those wondering about the full game of "D&D" in Intellivision, here's a snippet: This is not to be confused with Dungeons and Dragons, the Treasure of Tarmin - the one I was searching for that was the POV of the hero: (BTW - as mentioned, I miss these games, though I stunk in the two mentioned. My best three were Q-Bert, Lock 'n' Chase, and Beauty and the Beast. Fourth was Burgertime).
