Uhh....when I clicked on the link, the page said this...
Sorry, "A-Team Trailer - TheFilmStage.com" was deleted at 4:11:41 Fri Jan 8, 2010. Vimeo has removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation claiming that this material is infringing: A-Team Trailer - TheFilmStage.com. Decent trailer, but I said that about the one for "The Wild Wild West" and was disappointed with the movie.
On the plus side, it looks like - at least from here - they do understand the characters' attitudes. BA gets me though - he sounds a little bit country to me though instead of tough guy.

It wasn't as good as people have led me to believe, but it wasn't bad for what it was. I will probably try and go see it in theatres.

"It gets better."
I hope so. Because I was okay with the trailer up until the part with the APC or tank falling through the sky and one of the guys is manning the machine gun and shoots the attacking plane out of the sky.
Are they serious?! WHO comes up with this stuff?!?!

That is where it fell apart for me too, Mary Anne.
I will probably still see it, but I hope it is not all that way. I hope some of the original charm is there.

Come on guys (and gals) it's not like the team didn't do sooo much outrageous stuff in the original series.
Can't wait, hope I like it.

It's been awhile since I've watched the A-Team but I don't recall anything quite THAT outrageous. LOL
At the very least tho' I'm encouraged that it appears this at least appears to honor the original and doesn't dilute it in the interest of spoofing it or making some kind of tongue in cheek comment about it.

I agree MaryAnne - this looks a lot closer to something in the vein of the film version of "Maverick" - close to the original feel of the series but a spin on it to make it fresh. As long as they don't do a parody of the show in the vein of "The Wild Wild West," "I, Spy," or "Dukes" (My opinion only - I know that several liked this film) - meaning making it nearly a farce - I'll be satisfied with it.

LOL... the first that comes to mind I think is from the second season episode called Labor Pains. In it, we see the team take out thugs using a contraption that shoots heads of lettuce out of a hose! I totally agree that it appears to be a good take on the original and not a spoof, etc. Thats what I'm hoping for too.

This is a little off-topic, but given its timeliness to the trailer being shown, I thought I'd share it:
If you get the newspaper, Sunday's "American Profile" has a question about where all the original principal actors are and what they're doing since the original show went off the air.

That's what they always did, build stuff from whatever they could get access to to fight the bad guys (move over MacGyver! LOL). Falling out of the sky from, say, 30,000 feet in an APC and shooting at a plane.... well, it just doesn't work for me. LOL. I suppose at least they weren't shooting heads of lettuce at 30,000 feet. ;D I also noticed that I said "appears" twice in my previous post. Such editin' skills I have, yes. LOL

The CGI doesn't bother me at all. I'm very happy to see that the tone and characters and story seem true to the original. The only thing that strikes me as not-quite-right is seeing an A-Team that is young and in good shape. I mean, The A-Team is my all time favorite show, and I'm pretty sure it was a show about a bunch of fat guys who helped the downtrodden.

I worry about the characterization too. In one trailer, I saw the Face character talk to B.A. as though he hasn't known him that long. Even though they had only been escaped a year, I was hoping that the personal dynamics would stay true to the series. So far, I think that the Murdock character is the best so far. I hope it is a good movie, but I can't be positive about it.
