I've been a fan of the show for some time, so having not done any fan projects for it is something I'm surprised has been a long time in coming.
I got a hold of sadly only one of the comic books and noticed quickly it was a modern rehashing of the pilot. I thought I could do a stab at the same idea. It's about halfway written in my opinion, and I was wondering if people here would like a link to it or just a reeeeaaaallllly loooonnnngggg posting of it here when finished? While writing GAH fan fic is new to me, I have written other fan fiction before, so don't worry if you think a novice has decided to write this.

The link would be best.
Feel free to post the link in the Media/Web Coverage section.
Good luck with the story!

While writing GAH fan fic is new to me, I have written other fan fiction before, so don't worry if you think a novice has decided to write this. The comics were produced by Katt's company Catastrophic Comics, and I *think* they were required to keep the plot as close to the original as they could. Then the economy downturned, so they couldn't continue it beyond the original three. It was obvious based on how they ended the third comic it was planned to continue. There is a fourth edition, but it was produced by another group and from what I've read about it, the reviews really was mixed. There are several people I know of who still occasionally write fanfiction for "GAH." I did for a time, but since I started my current job nearly 8 years ago (which I enjoy a lot), I've only written one. It's nice to see people still interested in writing stories about the show to read. My suggestion would be to complete the story first then post it up. There is a "GAH" fanfiction board too if you'd like to link from there. I'm the admin and will be more than happy to help out there.

Ahhh, nuts.
MelMac, I wrote a detailed reply in a response PM and I think it failed to go through.
Yes, you can proof check it ( wow, this has a feeling of deja vu to it ). ( and now again )
The plot has a lot of similarities to the original but also has a bunch of differences and things expanded on. For starters the whole prologue is set with the aliens just after a disaster has struck their world. They're talking about their narrow space in their society, and attempted saving of other worlds.
Let me explain the deja vu crack. My earlier work in fan fiction, at least what started it, was working on a virtual series named Buck Rogers in the 26th Century. At the dawn of it appearing online, I quickly got an offer from a lady, who is now my oldest internet friend, to proof check the series. ( Yes, I let her take the job. )
How it worked between us, and I hope this will work as well with you and I is, I would reread the story and make spelling and grammar corrections where I saw them necessary. I'd then email her a copy and she would then catch what ever I failed to in proofing. Once she'd hand it back to me, I'd go over her work to check if she had made any corrections to misconceptions in her reading. ( It was rare I'd have to fix *Mariet's work ( the friend & proof checker ) ).
Would that work for you? *fingers crossed*
Why I added the extra "deja vu" note is because this is essentially the same message I tried to send in the PM.
Also, what did you write for GAH on FF.net? There's so little fan fiction for the series there.

I used to write - as tigremalabarista - on FF.net, and I'm the admin on the "GAH fanfiction board" (jadewarlock.proboards.com - LONG story on why the weird URL). I don't anymore given that I do fused glass jewelry work (Such as my avatar) and my bread and butter job (full time job) keeps me busy to write. In fact, the past couple alone featured some other projects I have wanted to do in memory of my Dad.
The stories I wrote were traditional (Ralph, Pam and Bill) and a continuation on my own right. I will beta just about any style of story - and would've even the failed "TGAH 2008" web series if it had produced a full episode.
Will send you a PM with my e-mail address... this will work.

Here's the link to the story : linkI've noticed some times DeviantART has loading issues with PDF files. So in case it doesn't load in properly, you can download it.
