Odd collection to say the least. I like some of their choices, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the release. I might have to buy a few too.

My guess is that Greenlight chose to release this car, because they already had the Dodge Monaco mold from the release of the green Monaco from another Cannell series Hunter.
Sometime's when the production wanted to wreck Bill's car, they used a different style and not the newer Diplomat. Dumb luck that they chose the Monaco? Or is someone on the Greenlight staff a Hero fan, and realized that style of car had been used on the show.

Yeah, I figured it might have been just a common car they could paint up and slap it into the packaging. It would be nice to see Ralph's station wagon, Pam's VW, even the Villicana Piranha at some point, and the Greenguys' ship would be awesome but I doubt they'd go that far. As a matter of fact, I received my cars in the mail today and they are nice. On a side note regarding GAH merchandise, the Mego toy company that came sooooo close to releasing 8-inch Ralph, Bill and Pam before they went belly-up has now come back into business, releasing a variety of new 8-inch and 14-inch characters exclusively through Target. I haven't heard one way or another, but I hold out hope they take the opportunity to return to that unfinished GAH line, especially since this new Mego company works with "Doc Mego" Paul Clarke, who made the FX Con Exclusive Ralph Hinkley figure back in the day.

So I just now stumbled across this car... and ordered it off of Amazon today.. teehee.. Did a double-take when I read the model was a Dodge Monaco. I was figuring the Diplomat or the Dodge Charger (though Ralph set that one on fire). Maybe that was the closest they could get for the Charger without having to actually call for a Charger cast.

I would also like to see The Hit Car, added to the list of vehicles that you named. I would LOVE to see the MEGO line include TGAH, I've been buying the new Star Trek Megos. I can't find a official Mego website but it appears they do have a Facebook page. Maybe one of you that are into the whole Facebook thing can contact the company and suggest they attempt to pick up a license for TGAH. www.facebook.com/megocorporation/

"Any possible future plans for figures of the 80s tv show Greatest American Hero?" They quickly replied.. "Definitely a future possibility."

Good call on "The Hit Car"...I forgot about that one! As much as I would love for Mego to make new GAH figures, I'm hesitant as their likenesses have been rather hit-and-miss, depending on whether or not they have the rights to the actors' faces. The "Charmed" sisters have been iffy (maybe squint and you can see a slight resemblance), the "Cheers" boys were very recognizable, but their Al Bundy actually looked like a recurring character from the original Star Trek (Lt. Leslie, I think) from a prototype figure Dr. Mego designed but never made, while Figures Toy Company's earlier Al Bundy was a dead-to-rights Ed O'Neill. Mego's "I Dream of Jeannie" set had a passable Barbara Eden, but Tony Nelson looked less like Larry Hagman and more like Robert Conrad to me; he would make a good Wild Wild West custom. There is hope in that Doc Mego works with this revived company and could re-use his William Katt sculpt from the Con Exclusive figure, and maybe Mego still has the molds for the original Ralph, Bill and Pam figures that were never made. That being said, I would probably prefer new GAH figures were made by NECA; their Mego-style figures have always been spot-on to the actors and the costumes are tailored better. Of course, I would take any official GAH figures no matter who made them.

I must say that original never released Maxwell Mego was spot on in the likeness of Robert Culp. Like you, I will still buy any new figures no matter if they look exactly like the cast or not.
I also would like to see a smaller line of figures done by the folks who make the ReAction figures.

In case someone doesn't want to pay ebay prices for Greenlights TGAH car, Hobby Lobby carries them for $7.99.
At least our local store does, just picked another up last weekend.
