I have been rewatching the series recently, and while I'm not up to HEROINE yet, something triggered a thought after watching THE 200 MILE PER HOUR FASTBALL. In HEROINE, the greenguys say that the world will forget once Ralph gives up the suit. He will just fade into the past and people will forget. For all of us fans, we find that incredibly hard to believe and we keep saying that they have to use the suit's mind control power or something to make it happen. However, we saw the foreshadowing in FASTBALL. Bill takes Ralph to a bar after the season has been over a while and asks the bartender a sports trivia question about Ralph. While it is a little different because no one knew of the suit then, Bill makes the point that people forget easily. Especially when it is not happening in the now. The bartender eventually remembered, but it proves the point that people forget. While it might take longer for them to forget Ralph as the celebrity, it's easy to forget celebrities once they are gone too. It might be really easy then for the suit to transfer to Holly without having to do a massive mind sweep. (Although if I was the opposing team in FASTBALL, I might look up that year and try to argue the series was stolen by a super suit wearing guy. )

Just watched HEROINE again today.
After the rewatch, it definitely sounds like the Greenguys were going to do a memory wipe on the whole world. Good reason why JJ Beck was never found out too more than likely. It was especially noticeable when Pam asked to keep her memories.
Too bad. I liked my FASTBALL connection.

The general public might forget. The criminals he put away have long memories. If the world knows about the guy in the red suit a lot of bad people will have to be let out of mental hospitals. I think it would be generous to believe Ralph would survive a month without the suit if he doesn't run. Someone might lob a grenade through the classroom window.

That assumes he went back to teaching.

You're right. Ralph could be burnt out on teaching. Burnout is actually a good explanation for a lot of things.
Tangent - Ralph is in his mid-30s. I can't really see him being happy long term without something to do. What would his second career be?
