There were a lot of great shows on in the 1980s.
What show (regardless of network) do you think it would have been fun to have a cross-over with GAH? Why? What would be the plot?

Can you imagine the fun that could be had with a crossover of the A-Team and GAH? As mentioned in another thread, the Captain Bellybuster episode would have been great to work the two together. Another fun one would have been RANGE RIDER where you mix the RANGE RIDER episode of the A-TEAM with the plot of DESPERADO. Plus, you get Decker, which would be great for both fandoms, especially if he saw Ralph in the suit and had no idea how to act.

Honestly there are a lot of good ones. Though it's a cartoon, I had worked on one that was a crossover between "MASK" (the one that is joked as being a cross between "GI Joe" and "Transformers") that seemed to work. I never completed it though.
Live action, and admittedly it was short lived.... I could see Bill really having a field day if he had to deal with "Otto J. Mann" (otherwise known as Automan) as well as the suit. (Ralph somehow can't entirely help with the case, so this is just between the two):
Bill "Oh terrific, I have one partner in red jammies and a disco tech... wannabe in sparkly figure skating tights."
Automan: "Mr. Maxwell, I'm a highly specialized computer program and can help you solve your case as well. Come, we need transportation."
Bill (Seeing an empty field): "There's nothing there..."
Automan: "Cursor?"
(Cursor - a ball of electric energy - jumps out of nowhere/Auto's hand, and makes Bill yelp and say one of his phrases. Bill then is amazed to see Cursor create a car out of light.)
888888
Show was called Automan.
"Manimal" would've been fun as well.

Makes me wonder about the fun Bill could have had ribbing KITT from KnightRider.

"The Love Boat" would've been funny.
I could've seen Gopher in an increasingly paranoid state seeing Ralph in the suit. Gopher would've had trouble explaining to particularly Doc and Issac about the suit, with even Doc wanting to take him to the sickbay to get his head checked.
Oh and then there's "Arthur Hailey's Hotel" (though this one is post-GAH). Could almost see a story where Connie Sellecca played both Pam and Christine (her character in "Hotel") where there was a case of mistaken identity and one or the other is kidnapped by mistake. Not too sure here though where they'd had the comic relief though - really only the hotel security tended to have the more comedic roles, then the bellhop.

Having Dr. Sam Beckett leap into Ralph or Bill would have made some great television I think. Too bad they were not on quite at the same time.

BOSOM BUDDIES might have been fun too. I can see Ralph and Bill in drag trying to root out some creeps.

AIRWOLF. Imagine terrorists stealing that super high tech chopper and Ralph going after them to stop them before they can fire nuclear missiles at the Capitol or something.

"The Bob Newhart Show"
Imagine Doctor Robert Hartley's latest patient, who insists that he actually saw a flying man in red tights and a black cape. Imagine the crazy therapy sessions and what the poor Doctor has to go through listening to what he considers a complete whack job.
That is, until he's walking home late one night, and that same mystery man in the red tights and black cape lands right next to him and then takes off into the sky again.
Nah.

A crossover movie with the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES live action movie would have been awesome!

What about a "Greatest American Hero"/"Men in Black" crossover?
I think that last was actually an animated series for a while.

"Going Bananas."
For those of you who didn't catch this on NBC Saturday mornings in '84, here's a surviving clip.

"Highway to Heaven" might have been an interesting series for The Greatest American Hero to cross over with - if only for the implied moral, ethical and religious undertones and questions concerning the Green Guys and their choosing someone worthy like Ralph to receive a super suit to save the planet from destruction.
Questions like, who are the Green Guys and where did they come by their power? Is it merely technological beyond our comprehension? Or are the Green Guys, like Jonathan and Mark, agents of a higher, supernatural divine power? Or are the Green Guys simply a manifestation of the Boss (i.e. "God") who appeared to Ralph and Bill out in the desert in a way much like how he appeared to some of his prophets? I mean, the book of Ezekiel does mention angels and wheels within wheels in the sky. Which - come to think of it - sounds like a pretty accurate description of the Green Guys' spaceship.
They even give him a book of instructions on how to use the suit's powers (twice!) much the same way new Christians are encouraged to study and meditate on the Word of God in order to receive divine instruction and power from on High.
Also worthy of note is the fact that, in "Heroine" there are a trio of Green Guys who pronounce judgement on Ralph when he becomes a celebrity and his ego gets out of control and deem him no longer worthy of the suit. And you know who else is a trio? God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit (or Ghost if you prefer) - three in one - or three working as one.
So now we get to Jonathan and Mark, whose view on God are pretty conservative. Big, brilliantly bright and powerful Being sits on a Throne in Heaven overseeing everything - fluffy white clouds - Pearly Gates - robes - harps, the usual. Then they cross paths with Bill and Ralph when the brakes on their car fail and Ralph just happens to be there to stop that car from going over a cliff and exploding, because cars that plunge over cliffs always explode upon hitting the ground, right?
And - I wandered off topic. Where was I? Oh yes, Jonathan and Mark encounter Ralph and the suit. Maybe at first Jonathan thinks Ralph is another angel with "The Stuff" but is dissuaded from that idea when he sees Ralph get a paper cut the next day at work. Jonathan learns their assignment - save some troubled teens from going down the wrong path to a life of crime - which just so happens to coincide with Bill Maxwell's current case since word on the street is a big time criminal mob boss is recruiting fresh talent for a big job - maybe even a massive terrorist strike or theft of some new advanced electronics from Technitron.
Anyway, they all work together and the day is saved - and at the end they all end up in Palmdale and thank each other for all the help - and Bill asks Jonathan and Mark to keep the secret of the suit, not realizing that they have their own little secret. And then, the space ship appears. Floating down from the sky, and they speak from the radio, expressing their satisfaction with the job Bill and Ralph (or are they also speaking to Jonathan and Mark?) did to save the planet once again.
Later, as they drive off in search of their next assignment, Mark might turn to Jonathan asking "Do you suppose those guys in that space ship - do you suppose they could be working for - you know - The Boss too? Like us?" to which Jonathan might reply, "Who knows? They say He works in mysterious ways."
Jeez, did I just write a crossover idea or a fan fiction story summary? Whatever, it was pretty long winded. Yamma yamma yamma - whoopty do, scooby doo! and gobbedly gook. Okay, I'm done.

What about a "Greatest American Hero"/"Men in Black" crossover? I think that last was actually an animated series for a while. TGAH was almost an animated series in the late 80's. Well...a pilot was written. I have no idea if any test drawings were done or not.
