What about a "Greatest American Hero"/"Men in Black" crossover? I think that last was actually an animated series for a while. TGAH was almost an animated series in the late 80's. Well...a pilot was written. I have no idea if any test drawings were done or not. I think I read about that somewhere - maybe one of those fan magazines devoted to comics back in '84 or '85, but i don't think anything came of it. Or maybe it was switched to live action and eventually became "Heroine."

By the way, "Misfits of Science" would have been another fun crossover for TGAH.
That and "X-Files" - just imagine Mulder and Scully going out to LA to investigate rumors of a flying man in a black cape -

It was after Heroine, I should dig my issues out just to see how many times the blurb ran. It was just in a little section of the magazine, they would list possible upcoming projects.

I so would have loved to see Ralph and Bill in a crazy team up adventure with these guys!
Maybe the Green Hornet has made the FBI's top ten most wanted, and Bill Maxwell, as the top agent of the Bureau, has been assigned to bring him in - but then an even more dangerous criminal terrorist appears, that the Green Hornet and Kato were trying to stop the whole time - forcing Ralph and Bill to team up with the masked marauders to stop him.
Yeah, and there'd be lots of action! And explosions! And car chases! And Kung Fu fighting! Oh yeah!

I would love to know if anyone ever turns up a script for that animated series pilot! Count me in for that! I exchanged emails with the writer, 10 years ago or so. He did briefly answer a couple of questions I had about it. He still has the script, but wasn't interested in digging it out.

Another crossover idea I thought of - do you recall the episode where they went to the Bermuda Triangle - "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea"?
Well, it occurs to me that another superhero show also features that locale quite prominently - Wonder Woman! You know, since that's where Paradise Island is supposed to be located.
So it could be the catalyst for a crossover - a huge tropical storm either - a) pulls Ralph and Bill into Wonder Woman's Earth or b) Wonder Woman in her Invisible Plane gets pulled through a vortex into Ralph and Bill's Earth.
Of course that begs the question - will Ralph's suit still work in Wonder Woman's universe? Will Wonder Woman's belt and lasso still work in the TGAH universe?

Anybody remember this one?
This might have been an interesting match up - Ralph Hinkley as the experienced superhero ("Heroine" was a bad dream Bill had brought on by too many dog biscuits and too much bourbon.) meeting and acting as a mentor of sorts to Andy "Ultraman" Clements and maybe they could even have some crazy adventures together.
Okay, yes "My Secret Identity" did originally air and take place in Canada, so that might be a bit of an obstacle.
On the other hand, there's really no reason why the Clementses can't go to California on Summer break - although crime and villainy never take a vacation, as you well know, so -

"V"Come on, do I really need to explain why this would have been beyond awesome? I mean, Bill, Ralph and Pam joining an underground resistance in the fight of their lives against hostile reptilian aliens with tech every bit as potent as Ralph's suit. Plus, they'd still have to keep the suit secret - but for completely different reasons, since if their fellow resistance fighters learned Ralph was given the suit by alien green guys from a flying saucer, it may not go well for him or his friends due to the feelings of hostility for the space aliens trying to conquer our world.

Another interesting crossover, at least to me, would have been with another Stephen J. Cannell creation, 21 Jump Street.
And if you think about it, it's probably the most natural crossover, since the premise of 21 Jump Street involves youthful looking cops going undercover in high schools to stop the drugs and crime there, and Ralph Hinkley works at a high school - Whitney High, to be precise - as a Special Education teacher working with problem teens. Which is precisely the kind of place a cop working undercover to ferret out criminal activity at a high school would be placed.

It was about a decade too late, but can you imagine if the team and Profit had shared the same universe? If SJC didn't want Profit to be the victor at the end of that series, why not have Ralph and the gang come in and take him out? Who needs HEROINE?

Who needs HEROINE? Funny, that's just what I've been asking since I first saw her on that - reunion movie? Backdoor pilot? whatever of TGAH on FX way back in 1994.

"Mork and Mindy" might have been fun. I can just picture it now - "Orson gets wind of the Green Guys giving someone on Earth a super suit, so he sends Mork to investigate, and what follows is the whackiest hijinks followed by the most intense and insane duel of interstellar super powers you ever saw! Don't miss it, on the 'ABC movie of the week' next week!" Hey, I can dream.

"Good morning, Angels. Lately there has been a rash of UFO sightings in the desert around Palmdale, California - and reports of a madman running around in red tights and a black cape taking on criminals there and in the surrounding counties like he's some comic book character. Your assignment, find this lunatic superhero and bring him in - for his own good."
