NBC has picked up a new pilot titled "Early Bird," in which a 20yo guy moves into a retirement community, with one of the retirees played by Mr. Culp. tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271%7c94449%7c1%7c,00.html

Good stuff! I caught an episode of The Dead Zone on USA last night with Culp guest starring. It's good to the old pro still working.

What happened with this pilot? Did it get picked up? Does anyone know the status?

What happened with this pilot? Did it get picked up? Does anyone know the status? I did a search on this a few days ago, after reading this post, and from what I can see it's still a "go." I'm certainly looking forward to it, if he's one of the main liners!

I can't find anything on it. Do you think it's going to be a mid-season replacement or something?

I don't think it would hurt too much if this old geezer had some of the Maxwell traits we all love so much.

Maybe you all can go to www.variety.com/ and try a search on "Robert Culp" and "Early Bird", that'll prolly do it then.

Not much mentioned on it. Good idea to go and search.

Well yeah, not much mention, but it IS dated Sept 19th, so it's really current, and it intimates that "Early Bird" is still a "go." Maybe one of those mid-season thingies networks do? Or else they might be introducing new shows a little at a time, since NBC has so many winners right now in their established shows.

Dateline: Seattle. I just searched on this show, again, to see if there's any new news. I got a handful of hits, but so far that article from Variety is the latest. Has anyone else heard anything since September? I was hoping NBC might premier it during the sweeps week in February 2006, if not sooner.

Maybe they are planning it do go on air in fall 2006 and are filming shows in case it gets picked up or something. Do networks do that?
