Just to let everyone know, tonight on Spike Tv, they are airing the 2005 movie "Santa's Slay" starring ex-pro wrestler Goldberg as Santa, and Robert Culp as the grandfather of the other main charachter of the movie. now let's see if I can remember the outline of the story.(kinda contains a spoiler) About 1000 years ago, there was a contest between an angel and Santa (who was an evil entity),if the angel won, Santa would have to become good and nice for 1000 years, if Santa won, he could continue with his evil ways. Fast forward 1000 years to present day,and the contract is up, and Santa takes acting naughty to a whole new level (especially since this Santa is 6'4" and about 240lbs of muscle.) It's kind of a silly movie, but seeing Culp in another project besides being in Everybody Loves Raymond as Debra's father is pretty cool. So, tonight (October 19th) on Spike TV Check your listings for info!!!

Too bad I don't get Spike TV. I guess I could rent it from some bargain basement, right?

This is a great movie and is not one of those icky horror slashy movies, although there is a bar scene where "Santa" does go murderous. However, Culp's angelic grandfather role is superb and he does a fantastic job (when does he not). This is really a nifty movie that I enjoyed watching a lot. Highly recommended! Rated: Four Pistolas Mona

Apparently the best answer to that from Culp fans is VANITY.

HE did great Vanity; I hated his script.
Luckily it was just a hallucination and not actually a real part of the TGAH canon (for me).

I prefer Vanity to Heroine.
17 million times more.
I would gladly omit both from history. But if I had to choose one to omit, it would be Heroine.

Boy, that's a tough one, Jo, but I'd have to agree with you IF one had to make a choice. Luckily, in my mind, both are deleted quite easily as actually having happened. Thank you, mind!

I don't understand why they don't show this more often in the Xmas round up.
I mean, how many times can you really see A Christmas Story? Sheesh.
So I propose 24 hour marathons of Santa's Slay every Xmas season... sound good?

Rated: Four Pistolas Hey, we should have a thread with just movie reviews! One thread per actor/actress, and Maniacs or Homies or Devotees can take turns picking a new movie to rate (perferably based on the quality of the movie itself, as Mona did above, and not just "My favorite actor saved this piece of garbage, so FIVE STARS!") I actually tried to get ThatGirl to do this a while back for Michael P`re, but I guess she wasn't interested in spreading the Tony-love here

I don't think ThatGirl has been spreading the Tony love as much. Too much homework to do. I don't know if I would be interested. I am still waiting on SOMEONE to review the Connie Sellecca movie they received as a prize for the Pam board Halloween contest.

Well, I'd be delighted to discuss Culp's roles/shows/episodes--adding them up individually, we'd have over 400 items to discuss (see imdb.com). Should keep us busy for awhile....

I think that would add a lot of topics. Wouldn't the character boards be a better place since most of them have spots for the actors? I am in favor of having them here too...it was just a question.

It couldn't be any worse than TBS or TNT (I forget which) showing that 24 hour marathon of that movie where the kid wants a BB gun for Christmas. I think it is called A Christmas story and I cannot stand it anymore.

TNT used to to it and I am sure still does. I think it would be neat to have a TV station so I could play a good variety of shows and movies.

Mona I have to say that I agree with Mona here...even though we are oft rivals for "Bill".........and Match Game rivals....... I could talk about RC roles and movies, etc.....all day and night....dont get me started!! And I have seen some William Katt movies and Connie Selleca TV and TV movies.....hey, I loved her in "Hotel"......and guess who was in 2 episodes as a guest star?? Robert Culp!! I could discuss that......
