So everyone would get the same DVDs for the 3 seasons--- plus the collectible tin, cape, booklet, and iron on. Collectible tin..... HMMMMMMM!!!! Wishful thinking, but hey it'll be nice one way or another whether it's a tin made to look like the suit box or just a normal collector's tin.

I e-mailed VEI, and now will be playing the waiting game with them. Hopefully they get back to me faster than Scott Strander & Associates has (still waiting by the way). Anyways, I'll let you know when I know.

No number to call? Probably means they are purely an internet company, but I guess they could be legit. Can't wait to know for sure. Good idea, Ted.

That's a pretty big box from the size of THAT picture. Good find, J-Man. Say anything of what to expect about cape size and the like?

Well from what I can tell of the picture, it looks like the full size cape is going to be the same one that they had when they first announced the show was going to be on DVD. I linked that cape off of ebay earlier on in this thread. From what I could tell from ebay, the cabe looks plastic and you can't really hold it out wide open like in some of the promo shots with Katt, or like how he does in the resturant scene when he is finally returns to being visible. Strike 1 with no original music(though I was expecting that anyways), strike 2 with the cheap cape. I guess I can always go to ebay for the instruction book.

Probably not worth it then. I might change my mind if everyone is getting them and they ARE a cool collector's set, but I can wait for now. No need to rush.

Here's the cape. Scratch the plastic looking part. I was confused with the picture of it inside the plastic bag.

It's all very cheesy. The tin box looks corny and does the logo and series name really have to be on the back of the cape? They should have put more cast photos on that box again like they did with the DVD, GAH is kinda unrecognizable to most people without at least Katt, Culp and Sellecca on there somewhere. I always got the feeling that the cast photos could at least spark a "oh yeah, that old show from the early 80s". Regardless, I'll still gladly buy my set. -scenario

I wonder if once this set is released that the items may appear *separately* on eBay...

Hey all, here is the response I got from VEI yesterday.....
We didn’t put that title out. But put out other titles from Cannell studios.
To answer your question is the cost factor. To clear and pay two types of royalties on each song or music piece can be very costly,
Many times when we secure TV shows the music costs exceed the purchase of the show.
I hope this answers your question.

hey all,
just order the delux box set...really looking forward to it, pity there doesn't seem to be any more extras.
Tried ordering from the site that has the teasers on dvd for sale (greatest american hero shrine) and all the episodes with original music but i can't seem to get a reply from the email address. anyone know if i can get these off someone else on the board.
i'd really appreciate it.
thanks,
alan

You mean that cape WON'T allow us to fly? What a crock. It might be a collector's item, but it would really only be the ones with Katt's autograph...IF that's worth something.

To a die-hard Katt fan it would (my case, it's a little too high right now. I might wait a little bit and see what happens. ) I do like the disclaimer too, as while it's a joke, there are some people who just don't get it. (Instert hand as "idea" going over person's head and then the blow up motion right behind.) Believe me... I've been in enough strange accidents (not by own volition) that it's possible someone would try it.

Ma I was already to get the bx set but after reading the disclaimer, I was bummed. That was one feature I was really looking forward to.

Their right you know. The cape won't let us fly, etc. We would need the rest of the suit for all those! Then maybe we could.
