Hey some one suggested a new thread. I think it sucked cause of miscasting and Ralph loosing the suit acting in a way not true to character.

His freaking out that it was a 'skirt' getting the suit was the best for me.

For the sake of argument, if it did suck, it sucked because it wasn't written by Stephen J. Cannell or Patrick Hasburgh.

It was dreadful. The only bright spot was Robert Culp. I guess if Ralph was looking for the most annoying human being on the planet to pass the suit to, then he succeeded.

I guess if Ralph was looking for the most annoying human being on the planet to pass the suit to, then he succeeded. I agree. Ralph had that sort of streak in him also, but even displayed at it's most in the 2nd season's The Good Samaritan, it wasn't annoying at all. I can't say the same for Holly.

The way he kept running into her doing 'nice deeds' really tipped the scale in the cheese factor.

I definately agree with what you have written. The big difference between Ralph and Holly is that Ralph comes across like a believable human being. Good natured, positive attitude, willing to help others, but certainly not a perfect saint either. Ralph is flawed in many ways. Although normally very positive, Ralph could sulk in his own problems too. There are plenty fundamently good people in the world like Ralph Hinkley. Holly Hathaway is just a stupid fantasy character, she was like super perfect and saintly. She wasn't the least bit upset about getting a red supersuit that could change her life and complicate things. She wasn't worried at all over the fact that Ralph didn't get her the instruction book, and last we saw she was pretty miserable at the flying. Her happy sunshine demeanor was just so god damn annoying. How many people are like that in the world? If they are like that, people probably hate them rather then be drawn to them. Ralph was written for a more mature, adult audience. Holly was for the kids. Unless Holly wore that revelaing mini-skirt suit, I don't think I could ever watch a series revolving around such a dull and annoying character. -scenario-

Exactly!...(Well, except for the miniskirt part, but my husband would like it, I'm sure!)

Personally, I thought the entire concept blew monkey chunks. The idea of a 'Heroine' is a complete turn-off for me from the very start. Bring Ralph's kid back or some other guy who sort of gets 'stuck' with the suit like Ralph did, but not a woman - it just doesn't fly (pun somewhat intended...)

As Connie said in her interview, she would have figured out how the suit worked. 'nuff said! I think the idea of Ralph and Pam's son reluctantly inheriting the suit would be good. I think Drake Bell would be very good in the role. He is a pretty talented actor and musician. He is a little young, about 19 or 20, but just the right age for their son. He plays "reluctant" comedy very well. He also has a strong dramatic side. Then the original cast could all still be actively involved. Ralph and Pam are the third string utility, Tony is in the FBI with Bill, etc. It just isn't as fun with Bill and some completely new person, with no ties to the original. IMO.

Yeah! And they have COOTIES!!! LOL
I agree that I would have totally been up for the idea of a "Heroine" if that person was Sellecca. Oh yeah.

She wasn't worried at all over the fact that Ralph didn't get her the instruction book, and last we saw she was pretty miserable at the flying. I found it awfully hard to believe that the aliens couldn't produce a new instruction book, but then as much as I wanted to like Greatest American Heroine the whole thing was a complete mess.

the funny thing is that these aliens would allow such an inept person to wear the suit at all. i dont think they gave the suit to us for protection. i think it was actually for comic relief. those zany green guys.

Yes, I think they did it for their own entertainment! LOL!
I loved when the alien says he sees no reason why Bill Maxwell can't continue to work with whomever gets the suit. Then he kind of does a "so-so" move with his hand. Hilarious!
