Back in the Eighties, there was a Laverne & Shirley cartoon, where they joined the Army, and in one episode, they get a suit with super powers, a lot like the one Ralph had. The only problem was they had to share the suit between them, so they each wore half the suit, and wound up having only half the powers each. For example, Shirley got super strength, but Laverne was the one who got to fly.
I know this doesn't have much to do with the real "Greatest American Heroine, but it was the only place I could put this.

Sadly, I think HEROINE sounds better than this idea.

My opinion only - a cartoon version of what we got for GAHeroine probably would've worked better than what we did get.

Still better than what this sounds like.

Still better than what this sounds like. Scarily enough... true. But it's close there.

Not really. At least in GAH and HEROINE there was not a SHARED suit.

Not really. At least in GAH and HEROINE there was not a SHARED suit. True... and a good thing too. Can you imagine a story with Bill and Ralph doing this where one got the top half of the suit and the other the bottom half? That'd been interesting to see, but still... very odd.

I still think it should be Pam.

I still think it should be Pam. I agree. I would pay to see Pam in only the top or bottom half of the suit. I guess I would prefer the bottoms, since the top is kinda long... with the belt, it would look like a mini-dress...

I'm excited about the new show. I could care less about Laverne and Shirley.

I'm excited about the new show. I could care less about Laverne and Shirley. Welcome to the boards brianpadriac. Look forward to more of your posts. We're currently discussing the TGAH 2008 in the "Is this for Real?" thread: www.tgah.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=movie&action=display&thread=1186031564&page=13And would welcome your comments there as well. 0000000000000000000000 The thing I think that's funny about "Laverne and Shirley" as far as superhero costumes is that it was wacky. I don't remember though if Lenny and Squiggy were involved in it or not with their own costumes. :-\

It was a good show, but it was vastly different than GAH.

It was a good show, but it was vastly different than GAH. Just wish they'd gotten that straight when it came to Emmy time and such. "Laverne and Shirley" I think had a few that had serious undertones, such as Shirley having appendicitis, but even that story parts were played for laughs, such as Shirley's still in whatever costume she was wearing when she collapsed during the play rehearsal. GAH had it's funny moments, but it was supposed to be serious. Shame that most people thought it was supposed to be comedy because of Ralph wearing the suit and crashing into walls and such.

To me, I think Lucille Ball would have been the perfect comedian in the suit. She was great and she always had some disaster...can you imagine if she had the suit as well?

To me, I think Lucille Ball would have been the perfect comedian in the suit. She was great and she always had some disaster...can you imagine if she had the suit as well? She did do an ep where Lucy Ricardo does dress up as Superman for Little Ricky's b-day after she couldn't get George Reeves to appear. However, big Ricky does and Reeves appears to the delight of the kids. Meanwhile Lucy is stuck out on ledge and I think Reeves rescues her. It's a very funny story, and, along with the times she appears with Red Skelton adn Harpo Marx (the top one) are my favorite eps.

Those guest stars were some good ones and you know that she had arrived in the world to get everyone that she got near the end of her tenure...a testament to her abilities. I think GAH and I LOVE LUCY would have worked great together.

I'm excited about the new show. I could care less about Laverne and Shirley. Brian: Since you also have the "badboyedge4life" login, please choose one and I will delete the other. I will also be looking to see if there are other accounts you have created, simply to promote the TGAH2008 fan project. Thanks
