Cool screencaps, magicjammies and thanks for sharing them. (also, happy birthday, hope you have a good one. ) Now to be fair, I don't know what type of dance they were doing, but it just seems a bit odd to me that they had dancers to the music, as it'd detract from the shots on screen. But, it's cool to see Scarbury get to sing the theme and it be on the TV Land awards. They did celebrate 25 years of the show, even in a small way.

I watched the rerun of this (or atleast the opening to see the themes) after reading the post, as well. Not too big of a fan for cheesy dance routines but I guess shows like these have them. Nonetheless it was cool to see it acknowledged, when the show started they mentioned William Katt so I assume he had a part in it... presentator.. reciever.. whatever. I didn't really watch the rest of it. The Oscars at most is what I usually stand to watch, but that's okay because I did my daily watching of an episode since getting the DVDs. Tonight was "Good Samaritan" which had if I'm correct Bill's second time eating dog biscuit treats. I had wondered when the next time was that had this gag in the show after "The Hit Car". Seemed like I thought it happened more than what I've seen of it so far, especially since that's one of the things I remember the most from the show. I'm rambling here, so I'll just finish off saying, during that whole scene with Bill eating the dog treats I had a smile on my face. Happy 25th and a couple days, GAH!

I'm rambling here, so I'll just finish off saying, during that whole scene with Bill eating the dog treats I had a smile on my face. Happy 25th and a couple days, GAH! Well, again to be fair, (as I know someone will call me on this) I kid about the dancers, but I did a juggling routine to the theme. The difference, I kept it close to the show's premise and even wore a GAH shirt with black pants, red shoes and red socks. Sad thing is, I did have a Ralph moment and crashed on stage when I slipped prepping for a jump and fell, but I was otherwise all right. Odd thing was, no one knew it was an accident save my fellow performers (must know the show in some form anyway ). These guys, based on the pics, seem a little too ethereal to me, and atypical to the show and even music. Wonder if Katt was a dancer in there though. They've done that before on previous awards shows, and he can dance well. Be cool if he did receive an award for coolest superhero or favorite flying character, but given a couple of times Ralph got a nod for an award, they pulled it or combined it. So, who knows? I love the whole dog biscuit bit with Bill. That's one of his quirks that people love about the character, and fit him perfectly. What I remembered about the show before it came out on DVD were Ralph crashing into the billboard, the pilot's holographs, a scene from "Hand-Painted Thai" (holograph), "The Beast in the Black" (Well, who'd forget the beast, especially when you were 3 at the time. ), and the water torture scene from "Resurrection of Carlini." It's just so cool to finally see the show get recognized more often than it has in the past, so makes this nod all the more cool.

I saw the T.V. Land Awards last night in the original 9 P.M. EST broadcast, and really enjoyed the medley of T.V. theme songs at the beginning.I was really pleased to see Joey Scarbury sing part of "Believe It Or Not" in the medley. He sounded good,he sang it in the original key and though he doesn't quite sound like he did in 1981,he did a really good job.I have never seen any past TVLand award shows, but I think its significant that GAH gets a nod on these shows because it wasn't a big ratings hit like most of the shows they feature, more like a cult classic.I think its a testament to the quality of the show and the staying power that it has among fans.If you think about it,any other show they featured last night (except for the "New Classic" Grey's Anatomy which I thought was a waste of time) was a Top 10 hit over a period of at least several seasons.I wish TVLand would show GAH,but don't hold your breath.Their programming department makes some strange decisions!

What I think is cool is that he sang it. (Though I wouldn't have minded it Katt was the one who sang it if Scarbury couldn't have sung the song.) Most of the time from my experience with the awards show, it's been a cast member from the actual show who sang it. Sometimes it worked well, one of the few was when Shirley Jones and David Cassidy sang the theme to "The Partidge Family." Most of the time... not so much. I wouldn't have minded if they'd had Katt sing it, either. As far as who sang the themes, they did both ways: some they had the original artist & some they didn't (the "Happy Days" theme was sung by Don Most & Anson Williams & the "Dukes Of Hazzard" theme was sung by John Schneider & Tom Wopat ). I didn't catch any other reference to GAH afterwards, but half of the themes included in the montage didn't have the shows referenced anywhere else. It kinda felt like "Honorable Mention," actually. And great screencaps, magicjammies!Btw, have you made that avi file? I was thinking of making one (though I'd have to do it the long way), but if you wouldn't mind terribly sending me the one you make, it'd be GREATLY appreciated.

Now, Wopat and Schneider singing would've been interesting, as the latter can sing too. Anson Williams I know can, Most... Don't know. And to be fair to TV Land, the only other one I watched (first one), MacLeod sang the "Love Boat Theme" and other songs such as "The Jeffersons" and "The Partridge Family" weren't mentioned again in the show. Well, honorable mention feel or not, it's cool that it was at least mentioned this year. "GAH" has been given a poor rep at the particular award show (I've had my ?s as to why both nods were changed/removed, but it's their choice). I'm not dissing any of the other shows (a lot of which are favorites of mine), but come on, there are a lot of classics that had a small showing. "Faulty Towers," a British comedy, has a huge following... and it only had 12 episodes total. Same goes with "GAH" and other shows such as "Firefly" from present day (only had 13 episodes if I'm not mistaken).

Was GAH up for anything in this year's? I didn't catch when the voting was going on & I just went through the winners & didn't find anything.

No, GAH wasn't up for anything. Thought it was kind of odd to do the theme since it wasn't nominated for anything. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, mind you.

Don't know, didn't find out myself. They usually have a list of the winners and nominees for the awards they don't show on TV, so who knows. And I didn't see that, just the list of winners on the show... Our luck, probably afraid us GAH fans would berate them for pulling out our favorite flying kid out of contention for the award. Seems to be the link I've noticed. You look at last year, favorite flying icon award, Ralph clearly had the other's beat, such as Airwolf's helicopter, WW's invisible plane, etc. The award was pulled and no winner announced. Ralph probably also beat most of the favorite superhero nods too, if you truly went classic. Batman and the Hulk were also in the nods (though I wouldn't have minded Lou Ferrigno winning. From what my brother says, he's a very nice guy (and he scared the daylights out of me for years as the Hulk).) But, considering today's shows, I'd rather be scared by the Hulk and saved by Ralph than have any of the doctors in the hospital shows save me. (Also, I'm not complaining that it wasn't given a nod for any awards, it's just sometimes I think they're missing a good thing with shows such as "GAH." When they had TV Land Kitschen, this would've fit perfectly with the superhero lineup they did. They could've shown "GAH" then an episode each of "Shazaam!" and "Isis." Watching the latter character in episodes of "Shazaam!," it would've been neat to see what she could do solo. She was a neat character.)

There must have been something on the show other than the theme, I'm positive I heard Katt's name mentioned in the intro to the awards.

I have too much in common with you guys. . .Lauren and the Monkees. . .MelMac and the Incredible Hulk (I love this show and used to have to cover my eyes as I was scared crapless as a child, I now have the Ultimate Collection DVD set, though I could have thought of a few more episodes to go into it). I've even had dreams where I was with David and he turned into "the Creature" and I would try to stop it from happening by telling him "It's alright, calm down". It never worked. Even one where we were playing hide and seek in an abandoned movie theatre and I pretended to have a heart attack so he would come out from hiding (!? don't ask 'cause I don't know) and it scared him so bad he started morphing. But anyways. ;D

Kinda on topic, but off topic as far as message forums go. You'll be happy to know The Incredible Hulk Season 1 DVD set is apparently coming out in July.
