For those interested, some of the music originally featured in the NBC broadcast episodes of the 2nd season has been altered.

Hey J, they even removed Clarence Gillyard singing Chesseburger in Paradise from It's a Vial sort of Business. He was expertly removed from the teaser, and the actual scene in the episode was trimmed and dubbed down just to hear him say "ugh" over and over. Although if you listen to the sound track in the shot featuring the thugs watching him perform for the Riptide guys, the original audio featuring his singing is still present.

BTW, is this the American release or the Canadian release? Because the Canadian release of "Hardcastle & McCormick" has unaltered music. Which is why I'm champing at the bit for the upcoming Canadian release of "Stingray"!

Which is why I'm champing at the bit for the upcoming Canadian release of "Stingray"! It's the Canadian release. That's why I was so disappointed. I haven't had a chance to watch the entire set yet. But I've already found 4 epiodes with altered music.

Is it released by the same company that released "Hardcastle & McCormick"?

Damn, that's not good, because "Stingray" will kick ass if the original music is retained, ala "Hardcastle & McCormick". The pilot episode alone features: - "Low Rider" (original or cover? I'm not sure.)
- "Easy Lover" (original Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey version)
- "Time is on my Side" (original Rolling Stones version)
- "Some Things are Better Left Unsaid" (cover version)

I'd hang onto any original broadcasts if I were you.

Did you two tape everything that came on TV back then just in case it would be altered or something? Geez.

Did you two tape everything that came on TV back then... Nope...just the good parts. Oh. Sometimes it seems like you just had a job of taping everything that came on just in case it was good...especially primetime.
