Good luck...in case we never hear from you again. "Be careful up on stage, Don't you know that you're the rage?" *Keeps humming TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL* Thanks HD. I've decided that I'm going to wear the shortsleeved version afterall. It's just too warm here to juggle in a longsleeved shirt right now. I did manage to find long red socks though so there isn't any gap between the socks and my pants when I jump or do an arabesque. Looks nicer that way. Did talk to the photog, and he will make me a CD of the pics he takes of me juggling. I'll post pics from both routines. Still laughing at the comment about the person getting me a glass of wine. Here at work, I've had several strange things given to me in PR packets and others like this. This one is tied for first with another interesting ( ) one and diet shakes (I'm 5'7" and svelte, so I don't need to lose weight).

I still think your next routine should be to TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL...maybe you could sing and juggle to that tune...instead of SECRET AGENT MAN. That reminds me...I have another spoof of that song to do...

That reminds me...I have another spoof of that song to do... I might, but no singing. Hard enough to juggle and give a speech to people in an ampitheater with very little electronic help. Still, on the plus side, I could wear the outfit I wore for "Mission: Impossible" again.

Well, the show's over, and I'll say it went very well. We had a lot of people attend, including our State Representative, so it was pretty cool. Everyone did an excellent job in their performance, whether it was singing, acting, piano playing or other. The crew also did an excellent job. As far as my routines, both went off pretty much without a hitch. "In the Mood" was the first one I juggled too, and didn't have many problems save a slightly slippery stage. The audience really liked the bucket trick and the arabesques. While they liked the first one, people really liked the one to "GAH." I had a lady say that I matched the music really well, following what the lyrics said. I also found a fellow "GAH" fan there as well (don't know if he's a member of the boards though). He sang a song in the show, and was very good. Now, there was one moment in juggling to "The Greatest American Hero," where I had a true, Ralph-wearing-the-Jammies moment. In the routine, I take three progressive steps trying to learn how to "fly," each time the chorus plays. The first, I spin and "fall," ending up sitting down, the second I take two running steps but "chicken out" and back up, and the third is a traditional "three steps and jump" (this case into a jump). Well, during the second chorus when I go to do the chicken out one (it's a half-turn jump,) my take-off/landing foot slipped and I fell onto my side and stomach, but with my face away from the audience (fortunately). Anyway, I jumped up and started juggling again, shrugging my shoulders. Must've played off well, because the only people who asked if I was all right were those who saw my rehearsals. They knew I was only supposed to fall once. Though I'm a bit sore from the fall today, I laughed it off and realized that if it was going to happen, at least it was in "GAH" where it was part of the routine to begin with. As for the finale, it worked well. The song spoof was to "We're in the Money," and it was indeed cheezy. It was fun though, because at the end we all got to take a bow to standing ovation. The coolest thing was after the show, I had a couple of teachers at elementary schools ask if I'd be interested in juggling at their schools during gym (juggling is a lesson they have). I told them sure, as I work evenings, and gave them the information. That was one of the coolest things about the performance to me, because everyone from cast to audience had fun and were interested in the acts. As I promised, I'll have a couple of pics to put up tomorrow.

Congratulations on falling on your face, MelMac. *Applause thunders through the board* Glad it worked out well...I am now waiting the TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL act.

Congratulations on falling on your face, MelMac. *Applause thunders through the board* Glad it worked out well...I am now waiting the TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL act. Didn't fall on my face, just my shoulder and hip. It was at least in character too. Had it been "In the Mood," more people would've noticed. It also then would've been called Killed the Mood. ( ) But, also, thanks for the compliment HD. It will be a while though before I'll juggle again though, as I'm sore and bit stiff right now. I might try to find the instrumental to "Secret Agent Man" and use that as one of my routines when I juggle for the elementary kids. Sure would beat another performance of "Mission: Impossible" (a popular favorite among the kids)

Yay, Mel! Awesome pictures! Thanks, Lauren. It was a lot of fun and the audience enjoyed it. I got to meet a lot of people I normally work with in the community on a more one-on-one basis. Dinner was good too. It was mesquite turkey with raspberry and chipotle sauce, greenbeans, mashed potatoes, salad, roll and a fancy apple cobbler. All the cast got a meal ticket, so we quite literally had to sing, act, dance or juggle for our supper that night.

Great pictures, Mel. Glad to see that SOMEONE finally beat me to making fun of you in the captions thread too. *Walks off to read other threads humming TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL*

[ ] Ralph: Wow, I didn't know that MelMac's juggling routine was going to be televised... [ ] Ralph: She fell...after all the work we did to get that part right.... [ ] Ralph: Guess we'll just have to work harder for next year. *Glad to hear that you did well and had fun, MelMac*

Great pictures, Mel. Glad to see that SOMEONE finally beat me to making fun of you in the captions thread too. *Walks off to read other threads humming TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL* Thanks for the compliments, HD. Have to admit, both yours and MyTatuo's recent screencaps were very funny. I also like the screencap above, because that's the way I felt too. You know, more I read "Texas Juggle Girl," the more I think about how I could possibly do a routine to the music. Maybe I should look for the music somewhere...

I found this while trying to help clean up the screencaps thread. It's one of my favorite "Doctor Who" spoofs in "GAH" I'm telling you Ralph, we've got to get out of this TARDIS maze so we can give the Doctor back his scarf. It's so long you could lasso a horse with it, I've tripped over it three times so far.

Seems HD's kidding me about writing spoof commercials but, funny thing is, so far, just about all of them have been used to write a fanfic, including the one I'm currently writing. (well, save the dream scene. That was based on a comment HD had. )

I know...I am always inspiring a Muse...I am so great. I just think that some of your captions should be archived over the ones above...even though I know they are sentimental to you for some reason or another. I think you have great ones that should be immortalized and you have left those in the captions thread, but what if they too should disappear? Pays to think ahead.

Well, HD, if you can find them you can post them here too. Right now, a bit of my mind's fried because I'm a) proofing and b) getting an idea on part of my story.

Well, I just spent all day going back over the thread deleting captions that no longer worked...I saw a few, but I don't want to go back and find them all...if only the non-imaged ones were deleted or updated with new pictures, but I doubt that will happen. I guess I will go back one day and try it again when I feel up to it.

Some of the others I can't think off the top of my head. I'll go through them this weekend and find them.

Did remember one : Tony (off pic): All right, "Four score and 18 years ago ..." Ralph (correcting): "Seven..." Tony: "Four score and seven years ago, our frontrunners. ..." Ralph (correcting again): "forefathers. ..." Tony: Hey, Mr. H, can you stop correcting me all the time? How else am I going to impress Rhonda with the Lettysburg address. Ralph: Gettysburg.
