Didn't want to risk losing it in the titles thread once I start writing fake commercials again.

Thanks...I always wanted to be complimented by someone stuck in the lingual 1970s. Hmmm...Derek's the cat's pajamas, the cream of the crop, the pick of the litter, a bit of a Cassanova, and all around good guy. There, that work?

Most of those were prior 1970s...just so you know.

Most of those were prior 1970s...just so you know. Yep, I know that. I'm more of the classical linguist than common day speaker. Unfortunately, that also means I tend to be too verbose or have to explain something to people.

Well, now it is time for my all-board surprise. I will be dedicating a poll and own thread to it. I just wanted to let everyone know that it will be 2500th post.

My spoof song is on the GAH.com site portion of the website. Have fun voting. Both are very good, HD, but I've never heard the song. I'll have to hear the song before I can vote to be fair. Gotta love filks, though, as they tell a story in very few words.

I wrote this screencap the other day after HD confused me with his move on the interactive game thread. He had to explain to me who the second Maxwell was (Maxwell-FBI), so the dame is me. Bill: Who the hell do you think you are? You're under arrest for impersonating an FBI agent. Maxwell: The name's Maxwell-FBI. And you can't arrest me, otherwise, how are you going to catch that fish in the bass tournament Wednesday? Bill: How did you know that? Unless... OK, not a problem, just stay away from Ralph and the Counselor. It'd be best that they not see two of me, if you know what I mean. Maxwell: Don't worry, I don't want to confuse them more. Already did some dame a little while ago who saw you then me pass by ... Sorry, game thread joke. j/k HD.

You are just "some dame" are you, Mel? Low self-esteem is not exactly endearing.

Yes, I haven't lost the touch...and depending on how the game thread goes...I am nowhere near done yet.

I am sure I can come up with something, although it seems like the game thread is quickly moving towards a culmination and we still have over a month to go. Maybe it is just me, but that is what I feel when I read it.

Maybe it is just me, but that is what I feel when I read it. Well, all I can say is your move was brilliant. Great curveball for all of us to deal with. Now, if I can remember 3X6 = 18 and sentence <=25 words...

About time...you think you would have learned THAT basic of math before. Sad thing is, I can give you how many points/picas in an inch, grams in pennyweights, and pennyweights in a troy ounce, but 5X5 at times equals 20.

That doesn't surprise me a bit, you know. Glad to see everyone is back in full swing...don't forget to say how much you love and adore me since this is my thread and you are supposed to think like that here.
