I was never really a superhero movie fan growing up and I still don't enjoy most of the movies today.
That being said, I grew up watching THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, BATMAN, and WONDER WOMAN on FX in the afternoons when that station first started. When I saw that a stand-alone (mostly) WONDER WOMAN movie was being made, I watched the trailer. It was fantastic!
Has anyone seen it? What did you think?
P.S. Gal Gadot...GORGEOUS!

I've seen it. It's excellent! Gal Gadot is perfect in the role. Like you said, she's gorgeous, plus she really brings charisma and heart to the character.

Minus a few moments in the movie, I thought it was fantastic. Glad I got to see it in a theater to really experience the beauty of the scenes. I hope she continues to do more lead acting like this. She is fantastic!

Glad you enjoyed it. I had misunderstood----I thought you had only seen the trailer.
Too bad they didn't give Lynda Carter a cameo in the movie. However, rumor has it that she will appear in the sequel.

I agree on giving her a cameo, but it was a pretty packed movie already and you would want her cameo to be great, so I concur with waiting until the next one. I'm hoping the next one can live up to the hype of the first one. Plus, I hope they don't throw in too many other superheroes.

I agree. This whole thing that they're doing now, of teaming up superheros in movies is quickly becoming tiresome.
And that's part of the reason why Wonder Woman works so well as a film. It focuses on its hero, and takes the time to tell her story properly. Aside from a short reference to Bruce Wayne AKA Batman at the very beginning and at the very end, there's not any other superhero in sight.

She carries the movie so well on her own, that she doesn't need help. I probably won't see the ones that she co-stars with others in, but I am planning on seeing WONDER WOMAN 2 if they can get her back!

Absolutely! Same here. Otherwise, I'm starting to feel "superhero fatigue" these days. I used to enjoy them, but now every year they release, like, 5 or 6 of them. After a while, once you've seen Iron Man 12 and Captain America 14, it gets a bit much. LOL!
It's rare that any superhero movie comes up anymore which is truly something fresh. Wonder Woman is such a film.

I think next year?
And things are looking up, since the charming and charismatic Gal Gadot will be reprising her role (as expected), and the movie will once again be directed by Patty Jenkins, who did such a great directorial effort with the first one.

I just read that the movie has been pushed back to June 2020. That's sad, but not awful.
I'm curious how they bring back Chris Pine's character. He is listed as being in it as his character from the first one...

He is listed as being in it as his character from the first one... It's possible they're going to pull a Lyle Waggoner (TV series Trevor actor) and have Chris Pine as "Steve Trevor Jr.," setting this new movie instead some years after WWII. Yeah, I had a feeling they moved it back a bit when Jessie Graf of "American Ninja Warrior" fame, and stunt double, announced she was working on the project sometime in the summer when she got permission to reveal her appearance. I'm looking forward to it too - they chose a very good Wonder Woman in Gadot. She's got the right balance of everything that makes the superhero who she is.

He would probably have to be a III or IV then because the first movie was set in WWI and the next one is 1984. They want someone Wonder Woman can be attracted to and not have to empty his bedpan. I was hoping they wouldn't take that route, but it's probably the only one that really makes sense sadly. Makes me wonder who the original Chris Pine got it on with since I doubt he impregnated Wonder Woman.

It's going to be interesting how they bring him back, considering that little inconvenience that he DIED in the first movie. But I'm glad they ARE doing so, since the chemistry between him and Gal Gadot was terrific.
