This is an idea fans from the I Spy Forum are supporting--we're asking TCM to honor Robert Culp by showing his films on what would have been his 90th birthday, August 16, 2020. TCM usually does what they call Summer Under the Stars in August, when they feature a different star each day. So he would fit perfectly into that. He did a number of theatrical films, not all well known, but more than enough to fill a day's schedule. I'm hoping GAH fans will support this too--write to TCM and ask them to do it! I'll give an address below. It doesn't hurt to mention his films (along with the 90th birthday angle), such as these: Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice Hickey & Boggs Hannie Caulder PT109 Sunday in New York The Raiders (w/Brian Keith) Inside Out (w/Telly Savalas & James Mason) Sky Riders, even Goldengirl or The Pelican Brief And that unforgettable classic, A Name for Evil. Er... well, maybe not that one. You can write through their comments section: tcmdigitalhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-usand on their "Contact Us" page tcmdigitalhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/newPlease write in and support this idea!

Thanks, guys! If I hear anything or when they post the schedule, I'll let you know.
Sorry you don't get that channel, HD, so it's extra nice of you to help.

How's this going? Do you have a lot of fans writing in? Anyone trying to keep track so we can reference support to TCM when we continue to bombard them?

I know a few people from the I Spy Forum have written, but there could be others who have written to TCM but not posted about it. At least one person posted it on Twitter too. So I couldn't claim to know how many have written in.
I did (eventually) get a personal reply to my first email to TCM, saying they had forwarded the suggestion to the programming dept. I gather everyone else has only gotten form letters. I asked them to let me know if they decide to honor Culp, so that I could tell the fans to stop writing, but they didn't take the bait. :-) They just said, basically, that we have to wait until the schedule is released. But I took the personal reply as a hopeful sign.

Form letter was my response. Hello, Thank you for contacting TCM... The form reply gave me a ticket number, and mentioned their "fabulous customer support agents" LOL!

Hey, folks, if you're sitting around with nothing to do, how about writing TCM again and asking them to honor Robert Culp on his 90th birthday, August 16?
If anyone does and you get more than a form reply, please let me know!

Sent another one, and a different reply this time:
Hello there,
Thanks for reaching out to TCM. We love to hear from fans regarding that they want to see for TCM and appreciate the time you took to give us this suggestion. We will make sure it gets to the right team! While I can't make any guarantees, it will be passed along.
Sincerely, Your friends at TCM

Interesting--Tatia Loring got almost exactly the same response, except that the last sentence was different. It's nice that they're personalizing it.
Last year they posted their August schedule on their message board in May. I'm hoping they will do so this year too...

TCM's August schedule is up... and Robert Culp's not on it. :-( I really had hopes for this. But they're staying firmly in their marketing niche, showing Cary Grant movies on August 16.
Thanks to everyone who wrote in and tried to make this happen.
