I always thought the first, original Star Wars was just right, however, if he had stopped there, I would never have had the fun of watching him build his compound in Marin County. It's quite a sight.

the first star wars, or episode 4, was the first walk in theatre movie i ever saw. i was about 7 or 8. i was affraid vader was come behind my seat and choke me. i grew up making star wars action figure movies and still do. it influenced my writing my comic in the sense that i want my stories to be as rich.
so NO. my life will not be complete without seeing this movie.

Well, I was about 15. There was about a mile long line down Geary Blvd., in San Francisco, but my boyfriend and I saw it without standing in line! It was a fluke.
23 (?) years later, when Episode 3 came out, again the line was all around the block, and again, somehow we managed to arrive just as everyone had gone in. We didn't have to wait at all, and all got seats together!

Question. can your life be full if you never saw episode 3 Probably not. Like you and every other Star Wars fan, I am counting down the days to May 19th and life probably won't be fulfilled until I see this film. But then again, I am not waking in with any kind of big expectations. Not after the way TPM and AOTC brought me down to Earth with their mediocre outings. (IMHO anyways) This is the movie we have always been waiting for, since the curtains went up on Return of the Jedi back in 1983. This is also George Lucas's last chance to make amends for all the missteps and lackluster quality of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. I still have issues with the prequels. Anakin is so annoying, and he comes across as more of a little punk then "the good man" that old Obi-Wan described him as in ROTJ. He's only a good man by virtue of being a Jedi, but otherwise he's not much of a likeable character. Not like the way Luke and Han were in the originals. Though I'm really looking forward to seeing Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious just go crazy and unleash his dark side powers on the unsuspecting Jedi. Some Possible Spoilers: (you guys probably already know this stuff, it's old) . . . . . . . . . It looks like Sidious is going to kick Yoda's ass somehow. In the trailer, Mace Windu brings along 3 Jedi masters to arrest Palpatine in his office, but this is where Palpatine pulls out his red Sith lightsaber from his sleeve and just goes crazy as we have seen in the trailers. He quickly disposes of 2 of the Jedi, works on the third one and then moves onto Mace. I don't know how the hell that is going to be believable, from what we have seen of Jedi I don't understand how even Sidious could kill them that quickly. Especially with the greatest swordsman, and most powerful Jedi Mace Windu there. Supposedly Mace actually brings Palpatine to his knees in a great fight, but then Anakin intervenes....and Mace loses as Sidious and Anakin double team him. This is where Anakin officially turns to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader or Ana-Vader (since he doesn't yet have the black suit), its when he kills Mace Windu. I'm really looking forward to those scenes. -scenario-

Yes, well, I thought the first two were snoozers. This one looks better.

I will probably not be seeing Star Wars 3. The original trilogy is pretty cool. Episode 4 (new hope) was the first movie I ever saw at a theatre. I mean I love Jar Jar and all (must love them clumsy fellas) But this new Star Wars somehow doesn't hold my interest.
