I haven't heard about the "Six Million Dollar Man," but I've heard about "Hawaii Five-O" being considered. It's among several that have been considered for remakes of the course of years. I think someone here posted that some shows have been considered for movie remakes, but then put on the backburner when the script fell flat.
The problem is that with a lot of the remakes, they can't catch the magic of the original show. I've seen a couple that have come close, such as "Mission: Impossible," they still don't quite make it. Though it was originally a radio and TV series, I think the one remake movie that came close to the original recently has been "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." The reason it came close is that every version written and filmed/recorded has completely contradicted the other in some form or fashion.
Unfortunately, a lot of the recent remakes have fallen flat. For example, I was greatly disappointed in "The Wild, Wild West." The problem to me was not the casting, but how overly camp they made it. The original show had a few far-fetched ideas and was camp, but almost everything "invented" was plausible for the period. One of the few exceptions was in one of the TV movies where Jim and Artie had to deal with an atomic bomb and realistic looking androids. Neither of these items were possible for the 1860s, much like the bungee cord they used for the "hanging" in the movie. Another example is Arliss Loveless, who only existed from the waist up. To my knowledge, you can't live if you're cut in half. Maybe some of the new ones coming out in the next few weeks will break this current trend.

Speaking of Mission Impossible, I'm surprised that they haven't made an MI-3. MI-2 came out in 2000, that was a good 5 years ago now.

Tom Cruise, however, is starting to worry me with all of his recent hijinks, such as jumping up and down on "Oprah." He's a decent actor, but if he keeps this up, he may have problems with his career in the long run.

Thanks for the opinion, I may rent it and see it for myself.
Now as far as Cruise, I can still distinguish between him as an actor and his the way he's acting. I do think, though, that he will cost himself jobs if people begin to not be able to distinguish the two. There are people who will overlook someone for a part because they aren't sure if the person will take it seriously. Right now, I'm having trouble taking him seriously, and I actually like a lot of his work.
