Don Adams, best known for his role in the 60's TV series "Get Smart" passed away yesterday at the age of 82 from a lung infection. To quote Agent 86, "Sorry about that, Chief."

The last time I saw Don was on the 2003 TV Land Awards. He reunited with his "Get Smart" co-star Barbera Feldon as presenters. The host for that year, John Ritter passed away just a few months after it aired. It's been a tough year for classic TV stars. We've lost Johnny Carson, James Doohan, Bob Denver, Tommy Bond, and now Don Adams.

All the great ones are leaving...makes you wonder if people will care when some of the modern generation dies. Will we really miss Jennifer Aniston when she goes?

Watch a commercial for Dean Martin's Celebrity Roast and see all the "Entertainers". There isn't much out there today that can compare

There are really no stars like the old time stars. I always loved those Dean Martin celeb roasts. They always had some real greats up there.
I wish they'd put the Ed Sullivan shows on DVD also. It's amazing to look back and see who got their start there. Also, to look back at the Johnny Carson shows, for the same reason. (By the way, I never thought the Carson episode with the tommyhawk in the crotch was all that funny.)
I loved "Get Smart" when I was a kid. *tidbit* - The robot, "Hymie", was the star of "Mr. Terrific".
