You know, I've always wondered if someone's tried to pretend to be a mannequinn in a store and surprise people during the holidays. Now, I've done that for a contest that an outlet center did (and won too), but wondered if anyone tried it. (BTW, learned it's very difficult to do, even sitting down. But, fooled a lot of people into thinking I was one. )

I've seen it in the store windows in San Francisco.

I wrote a little ditty once about a person dressing as a mannequin so that they could steal new clothes.

My case I was an advertisement for Claire's, who I worked for at the time. One thing that helped was that I was allowed to wear sunglasses (store sold them), but to be fair to the other stores who entered, I used ones where you could still see my eyes. That was the hardest part, to keep from not blinking a lot. But, it was fun, and I fooled a lot of people. I was in an empty store next door to Claire's, and had many stand there for 3-5 minutes waiting for me to move, but didn't until I needed to stretch. I'd wave to them and they'd move on. Did that for two hours, and had a lot of time to think, so worked out all around.
