Yes, it's me, billswoman.
Wonder what's been going on in my life?
Work: They tell me I'm an Admin Assistant/Data Entry (clerk? dunno) yet I'm turning into the database administrator of the dbase I was contracted to get updated and current... stressful, but fun. Had a panic attack after my weekly meeting. Yeah, I'm running meetings when the boss is gone, all for eleven bucks an hour. Go figure.
The varmint: He's doing fine for a ferret who's almost five years old. That's approaching old age for a ferret. We go for walkies on those rare evenings when it's not raining (Seattle in the winter, what're ya gonna do?)
Seattle: Kickin' butt, as usual, and about to OWN the Steelers in the SUPER BOWL (I can't say that enough, I'm still stunned). I'm going SOMEWHERE to watch; it sucked to watch us win the NFC championship alone. Son got to watch that game, but has duty (Navy) on Sunday. He's sure he'll be able to watch while on duty, though. I'm still thrilled to death to be back into civilization (meaning Seattle, not BFE Pierce County just south of Seattle and King County). We're bracing for one of our big windstorms. Wind loves to sink bridges around here (Hood Canal Bridge in Feb. 1979, the I-90 floating bridge in 1993, the infamous Inaugural Day storm).
The 'net: Surfing it way too much.
The Robert Culp board: 20 members, yea! Even if it was just us three Maxwell Maniacs, we'd be having a ball any way. We're watching GAH from start to finish, usually two eps a week. "Best Desk Scenario" is next, yea! We're also planning an AD&D (second edition) game based on GAH. I conceded Bill to silverhammer, if I got to DM. Lauren jumped in and claimed Ralph (of course). My friend IRL is running Pam. Silverhammer is also running Rhonda, and Lauren claimed Cyler. We've still got Tony and Paco left, if I've got any takers. You can find out more over there, under the GAH thread. It's scheduled for next Saturday, Feb. 11th. We're playing in a bravenet chatroom, starting at 5PM PST. Check it out if you wanna play Tony or Paco.
Writing and Reading: Well, the novel's OUTLINED at least. I'm fittin' to tackle some fanfic, although I'm more focused on the AD&D game. I've had some people ask me to continue the Skipper/Ginger story from Gilligan's Island, so I'm thinking about getting that done.
The home life: My brother parked his a** here at sister's condo (she's pretty much living with b/f now) and hasn't left. Once she brought her old laptop back for him to use, it's not so bad (he was using my puter whenever it suited him... including when I'd just turned it off to go to bed, but that's another gripe, lol!)
I think that 'bout does it. I'm still maintaining my livejournal under trek_grrl if any of y'all wanna view it, or put me on yours as Friend.
TTFN, y'all!
