Yes, I know, I have problems. Wouldn't a Ralph figure look good up there though?

I can't think of the name of the all-black Spiderman... but I have that exact same figure.

I can't think of the name of the all-black Spiderman... but I have that exact same figure. I think it's Venom, but every time I think of that name, I also think of the bad guys on "MASK." Might be right, might be wrong. But, love the Stawberry Shortcake and baby Fozzie toys there too. And, to be fair, my work desk has two miniature The Dog toys on it and a paper pressman hat.

OK...comic geek moment (big surprise, huh?). The all-black suit is generally referred to as "Symbiote Spiderman." The suit was basically a living alien symbiote that merged with Spiderman during the Secret Wars mini-series. When Spiderman rejected it, the symbiote hated him for it, and so it merged with Eddie Brock, an individual who's hatred for Peter Parker almost rivalled that of the Symbiote for his alter ego (Peter Parker exposed Brock as a fraud, ruining his career as a journalist). Thus Brock and the Symbiote became Venom. Venom is not really an EVIL character per se, but their hatred of Spiderman overrides that. Anyways, the black figure is "Symbiote Spidey." Spiderman also made a black cloth suit based on the appearance of the symbiote that he still wears from time to time, when he needs some added stealth. Here's what he's wearing a bit these days in the comic: As for the SSC's & Fozzie, those were gifts from my S.O. She had to make an addition I need to take an updated picture actually...four more Star Wars figures & a plush R2D2 have been added.

Gotta love the Fozzie...I think I still have mine too. Scary thing is, you mention Fozzie, I started thinking of the Hug-a-Bunch Kids (non-related). I remember those (had a lunchbox with them too). The two The Dog toys were given to me by a friend, and the paper hat, well, we have someone who makes them all the time. They used to wear them in the press shops to keep ink out of their hair. I also have a small blue plastic frog on my desktop now, and a baby bottle on my desk (press packet). My one at home has a little bit of everything. There's a set of Chinese stress balls, rock water garden, a magnetic metal sculpture, a glass box with 15 antique marbles, a bottle game, a Weeble of Jeff Bagwell, the souvenir baseball I caught at an Astros game this year, bookmark, my college graduation tassel, a bracelet I made, a couple of toys I got in a press packet, and a red envelope with lucky money from a Chinese New Year party I went with a couple of my roommates from Taiwan. All of this is backdropped by an oil pastel I did of designer circles. (I think the kitchen sink's there too, but if it is, my room will be flooded. )

It's funny about the Fozzie. We had been talking about our childhood toys (we talk about that a lot) and I mentioned a Fozzie plush I had as a child. I didn't really think about it much after that, but when I opened up my presents for Christmas that year, she had bought me a Fozzie plush. It was such a sweet thing for her to do...

Yep, I got a Care Bear last year for my birthday, and thought that was pretty neat.
I remember watching "The Muppet Show" a lot growing up, so Fozzie's always been a part of my life. I liked Animal, the Swedish Chef and Stanton and Waldorf (the two old guys) the best. I also liked Gonzo and a couple of the sketches, usually "Animal Hospital" and "Pigs in Space."
When the tried to do "Muppets Tonight," I thought they did a good job. But, I think they had one too many new characters, and people were too confused to follow it. Oh well.
I used to also have a stuffed buffalo and a small windmill on my desk, but I moved them to a shelf where I'm doing a western theme. Helped clear some space off my desk though. The buffalo is special as I got it my senior year in college, and I've seen a lot of windmills throughout Texas.

I also have a telephone insulator, three key rings, two paperweights, a saki glass, a paper fan, a beaded bag, photo CDs, a notebook, a Teeny Beanie baby, a thought for the day calendar, my walkfest medal, my walkfest pin, my Rotary coin with the four rules on it, and a bag of shredded money. (AND, somewhere on this desk, there's a computer. )

You have a bag of SHREDDED money? What is the matter with you? And you don't have a copy of TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL on your desk!!!! Gotta love PR packets. It was one of those tourist gimmick goodie bags and it's a bag of shredded $20s that you can buy as souvenirs. As for "TEXAS JUGGLE GIRL," haven't printed it out yet, but I plan on putting it in my scrapbook along with photos and the program from my juggling event. My work desk is very clean compared to my home one in terms of kitsch.
