Yes, I've been wondering where HD and others have been. Oh no... you don't think the green guys decided to kidnap him, Lauren and a few other regular posters and take them on a tour of the GG's home world in their ship? They also get to tour the other stars, including Orion, which apparently is near their home world. (Wonder if they ever dealt with Ford Prefect from a planet near Betelgeuse ... nah.) The little green guy (the one with the communicator) must also be giving him a hard time by talking to him only in the trills and whistles. Still haven't adapted the translators to translate his language. Hopefully none are injured and got stuck in the stasis booths. Heard those make you talk about not to cook eggs in a half a pound of butter when you come around. ******************** Please come back guys ... we do miss ya. The silly story about the ship is courtesy of my bagging too much candy for Halloween.

HD may have the most, but Mac has the most in terms of word count.
In his 5,000 posts, HD Probably has about 25,000 words typed in.
Mac averages that in a week...
(I'm exaggerating on both, but not by much!!)

(I'm exaggerating on both, but not by much!!) No... you're probably not exaggerating in my case. When we did the first game thread I was averaging close to 15K-20K a week just for it. It's only been recently that I've learned to keep it short. If I didn't, "The Bet" would've been a whole lot longer than what it was (though I don't think I could've made it longer and it stay funny. ) Now, the green guys and the ships... maybe I'm being a little too silly there. (Or, maybe not... ) what's really scary is what my count would be right now if I didn't ramble on about everything under the sun... literally.

I don't know if it would be scary, but it would be more realistic...especially since it would be keeping you on topic more often than not. And I could easily write gibberish just as easily as she can Josie, but my OWN eyes would water...I don't know how she does it sometimes.

Another reason he's got so many posts: He types up three separate responses in the same thread sequentially. But, I will concede he hasn't sent Ralph in the wrong direction in a story (though he still gives me grief about Tony being teamed up with Aidan. Wonder what he'll think about Cyler coming in the know about the suit. )

And you are one to talk.

Well, I do know how many characters you're allowed in a post (26,500). Found that out posting Pam's "A Californian in King Maxwell's Court" on the Pam boards. You need to read my latest two fanfics: "The Bet," "The Ghost of Hotel Doom" and "A Pint or Two." All three are SHORT (Pint's the longest at a little over 5K words.) I can write stories less than 10K words, and definitely less than 30K (which is "Ties that Fly.")

I feel like I'm stuck in a rotating door that keeps getting stuck... Another fandom beckoned & I had to answer the call, then I had no time to keep up over here. I do still pop in from time to time to atleast read posts, even if I don't post a response.

Oh... we're just giving HD a taste of his own medicine. Seems to always kid me (yes, some I cause myself,) so sometimes it's fun to have fun at his expense.

Lauren, which fandom is that? And how on earth could it be better than GAH?
At least, how on earth could those fans be more interesting that us?

At least, how on earth could those fans be more interesting that us? Weird Al Yankovich, complete with that accordion of his and wacky songs. Then again, I like the Monkees, who are also zany, so maybe that works well afterall. BTW, HD, have you ever made that T-Shirt with the GAH logo? I know you still want a suit, but you might try that 80stees.com site and see if that'll work as well.

I haven't made the shirt yet, but thanks to the J-Man, I still have the pattern and might adopt his idea that used to be displayed in his avatar when I first joined...wearing clothes over the shirt and spreading them out to show the emblem like I am getting ready to change. I saw that site...but then I realized that BUYING one would go against the intent of THIS thread where I should get a FREE one. If each member just chipped in a dollar, I could EASILY have one.

Sorry, can't help you there right now. I'd get one myself, but right now I'm getting ready for my new job and need ever dollar to pay for the first month of rent and have some money leftover for the important stuff... food. (BTW, I'm going to like this job because while I'm getting paid about the same, cost of living's much cheaper.) Heck, if I get to go to a Halloween party at the end of my tenure at Six Flags (won't know this 'til tomorrow), I'm going as a magician's assistant, only because we have my sister's old rifle costumes that'll work for that (and I can fit into them.)
