Alright, the board's a little slow so here goes..
What is your vote for the best, coolest, or funniest crash?
I think I'll vote for the one in episode 2, where Ralph flies over the camera on the ground and crashes on to the concrete before sliding under the hit car. That was a cool angle and really made it look like he was coming down from flying.
There are lots of other and better ones but I'll choose it to get things started.

When I saw the topic, I thought you meant best car crash. I can't organize my thoughts enough to seriously consider this question at the moment.
There's something to be said for falling off the roof of his house in "Fire Man". Splat! Flat on his face.
In his back yard with the briefcase full of money in "There's Just no Accounting" has the added visual element of the bill flying all around when he crashes.
Crashing through roofs ala "SoSB" and "TGS" was something he didn't do all that often.
Crashing in the pool in "The Resurrection of Carlini" was also different, at least.

One of my favorites was from The Beast In The Black, right when Ralph is about to capture Bill to bring him back into the house from hell. There's an AWESOME shot of Bill looking through a window and catching a glimpse of Ralph, who's standing on a nearby roof, and then Ralph takes off and absolutely DESTROYS the windows as he crashes into the room and grabs Bill - great scene. Another shocker was in Classical Gas, when Ralph tries to stop the bomb in the refrigeration from going off but ends up arriving too late and BOOM!... he gets blown into the ground - talk about a headache.

It was very neat and done well.

I know you don't want to hear this BUT...
In "Heroine": When Holly crashed into, and lands on top of, Bill...well, I kinda laughed my a-s-s off.

Oh no... HEROINE!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! RUN!!!
LOL - Actually, I didn't mind that scene either, and I loved Culp's acting afterwards - he really looked like he had just gotten clobbered!

Yeah, Maxwell's reaction to his new partner was very well done, very Maxwell-like, and what better way to introduce than to crash onto him.
The crash at the end of Op. Spoilsport looks painful

Fire man could be funniest, not just because he lands flat on his face but because the Police are watching him and walk up on him as he lays there. Very funny.

Also, back to Classical Gas, after Ralph has 'come to' and escapes the jail he's being held in, there's a hilarious scene right when he's sneaking out where it looks like Katt himself tries to fly and lands flat on his face, doing the stunt himself. No wonder he hated wearing that suit.

I remember that. Katt jumps and lands on the grass. That was pretty funny, indeed. Impressive too. I also remember him doing his own stunt on "Train of thought" when they are trying to convince him the suit works and he tries to fly.

I was watching "Circus" last night...Ralph carrrying Bill, then the crash in the dumpster was classic!

So far, out of the stories I've seen, I'd say my favorite one is "Fire Man" because the police come up to Ralph thinking he's nuts for jumping off the roof. The face plant also helps out.
I also like the one from "Train of Thought," when Ralph flys through the tunnel toward the train to try and stop it. You hear a thud, and then see the train continue on its course and Ralph going along for part of the ride. The scene in "The Good Samaritan" a truck collides with Ralph as he's chasing the bad guys is also funny.

Looks like a good place to return to the boards; years ago I posted once or twice on the old one. My absolute favorite crash is the first one from "Here's Looking at You, Kid", when Ralph is searching for the stolen airplane. Dropping from actual height and slamming face-first into a sand dune. Painful!

Yeah, that IS a good one - the sound effect (thunk!) is perfect when you see him go flying over that lump. Ouch!

Painful! Yeah, is that the one where the sun is in the background throwing a flare on the camera lens? That really looked like he was coming down from really flying. (I might be confused, as he crashed several times during the plane search and they were all pretty good, regardless)

Yeah, all the crashes in that ep were good! The lens flare one I believe was during the song sequence; the one I'm thinking of was the very first crash where it looked like the stuntman took a running leap off a very high platform head-first. Then he gets up, Bill tells him to get back in the saddle, and then the music sequence starts with what is probably the record for most crashes in one episode!

Yeah, I believe that's from the Here's Looking At You, Kid episode, with the great (original) Stephen Geyer song "Nothin's Gonna Bring Me Down" playing in the background. Great 'early' scene from the show.
