Hello. I am new and this has probably been touched on before if I had read every single post that has ever been posted, but I have not so I will post it now. The one thing I hate is in the wedding episode of Season 3: Pam's dad has changed from the first season guy. Not only does he not talk hardware, he does not seem to still be mayor less than two years later...did he get voted out or what? Speaking of that particular episode, I hate how Tony reappears, but not Rhonda. You think she would be just as important as the basketball coach.

I too missed Bob Hastings as Pam's dad. Hastings did appear in the 2nd and 3rd seasons, but not as Pam's father! Norm Alden is a excellent actor, but I prefer Hastings in the role. As for Rhonda. Faye Grant was shooting the mini-series V, and could not appear.

Thanks...I didn't know that about Faye Grant. Too bad though...it would have been neat to see the whole class there for it...but you can't have old Tony and pretend Tony running around I guess.

I believe Bob Hastings was on "General Hospital" about the same time as GAH. I remember it was te same time as the "Luke & Laura" hysteria. He was the Police Chief in Port Charles, and wound up being the head of the mob too! He may have missed the GAH episode due to scheduling problems.
He has quite a resume: McHale's Navy (the original TV series), All in the Family, General Hospital, and he played the MC in the Poseidon Adventure. He was also the voice of Commissioner Gordon in the animated Batman series, not to mention numerous guest appearances...Wonder Woman, Incredible Hulk, Emergency!, Rockford Files, etc.

Another thing that upsets me about Pam's family: In the pilot, she tells Ralph that her parents are coming in from Michigan next week to meet him and to try the Lois Lane jokes and little red suit out on them and how they were going to love it. Then, in the third episode where her folks show up, they are from Minnesota, not Michigan...plus, it seems like more than a week has gone by for the characters. The timing is just horrible in this show sometimes, as great as everything else was.

It looks like they really didnt care much.
One thing I hated about the show "Sliders" was they got so many different actors to play Quinn's mother and father over the 4 years it was just so confusing.

I know. So many shows change things around. If they are not using the same guest star in different bad guy roles, they are changing some of the influential characters or parents and such...maybe to see if we do notice.
