I imagine we're going to lose "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys" and "Roxanne" from the soundtrack.

Yep, and When You Comin Back Range Rider is one of my favorite episodes. Well.... it won't destroy it, and I can always pull out my NBC copy if I want to see it intact.

Were Cannell's shows set in the same "universe?" I could swear I remember seeing a reference to Captain Bellybuster on The A-Team way back when, but I can't afford to get the new DVDs and see for myself.

The A-Team did, in fact, eat Captain Bellybuster burgers in several episodes. Whether or not that means GAH and The A-Team are set in the same "universe", I don't know". Whether or not all SJC shows are set in the same "universe", I don't know.
There is strong evidence to suggest that "The A-Team", "Tenspeed and Brownshoe" and "J.J. Starbuck" all exist in the same universe (and maybe "Sonny Spoon", too).
Who can tell me why?
