is there a comprehensive list of Guest Stars for the series? Not finding it in Ep Guide.
Whilst browsing a TJ Hooker fansite, the webmaster noted that a 2 time TJ Hooker guest star, the dreamy Marjoe Gortner, had played a thief on Greatest American Hero. I emailed said webmaster to ask which ep but got no response.
I can find no listing of such an appearance, but that's not surprising - Marjoe did many more TV appearances than one finds on IMDB or similar boards.
Does anyone remember him on GAH? The irony would be that many people confused Marjoe for William Katt. Foolish, uniformed people.
No one reading this site could EVER confuse William Katt and Marjoe Gortner.

Hmm... not that I know of. Greenguy - who did the episode lists, might know. Or the J-Man who's very good with that triva. And I agree - people tend to confuse Katt with other actors. They claimed he played Shep Hockett on the "Gunsmoke" episodes "Brides and Grooms" and "The Wiving." The fellow whom they mistook Katt for doesn't look like him at all except he too has curly blonde hair. (That said, the episode "The Tarnished Badge" does have Katt in it.) Good luck in your search. I wish you the best of luck.

I do not believe he did. He was in an episode of HOTEL opposite Connie Sellecca and that might be where the confusion is on the part of that episode guide. He was also in an episode of the A-TEAM.
If he did guest star in the GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, it was as an extra and he was probably not credited. If you can tell us more about the specific episodes he was supposed to be in, we could watch and see, but he is not from what I recall.

the site which claimed this did not say what ep it was - they seemed very accurate in all of their other archiving - but I think they made a mistake here.
I'm trying to think where Marjoe ever played a thief - his characters were usually more complicated that that simple description. Usually drug dealers, murderers, cop impersonators, and his specialty, con artist. (type casting)

Agreed. He was a drug dealer in the A-TEAM episode. I think it might have just been a confusion because of the HOTEL episode with Sellecca. If you do hear back from them though, let us know. In the meantime, GG might be able to say for sure.

Stalker was another of his specialties - Matt Houston, Earthquake! He's very camera-shy these days. Here's a pic cropped from behind to other C-Listers (they were posing w/ out shirts - a real retinal wince I had to remove). Nov 1 07

Hard to tell that is him for sure. You'll have to trust me. I know the 2 guys who I cropped out. In fact, an email to one of Marjoe's employees got the 1 guy invited to this psycho beach party. (a fact said C-Lister has conveniently forgotten). And everyone received the white shirt Marjoe is wearing in their swag bag - so why the 2 bulgy 50-somethings are shirtless is anyone's guess. It's just so BAD.

I know that it is from the jawline and such, but it would be hard to tell for most people.

While Gortner appeared in several 80's tv series, he never appeared on The Greatest American Hero

He's the one who listed Marjoe as being on GAH. But I never got an answer. It's possible that fansite is no longer active.

Well, that is three confirmation answers about him. Sorry that we could not help you and prove it correct for you.
