Thanks for sharing Maxwell-FBI, though I do disagree with EW's standards. Pare still is acting, and hasn't had (to the best of my knowledge) had any large scandal be an albatross around his neck. I'd rather be making B movies (well - most of the ones now are, with some exceptions, i.e. "Hope Floats") than be an a list celebrity with all the problems that I've read about.

I agree that he is a B list actor...although I would grade him lower. EDITED TO ADD: I think he did a good job in his role as Tony and in HOPE FLOATS, but to me he is not the actor Bruce Campbell is and Campbell is considered B-list...so I think that Pare should probably be a C-list actor...if they have those.

Paré made a conscious decision to move to Holland for his wife when she was expecting their child, so she could be near her family when she gave birth. She wanted to raise their son near her family and Paré was happy with that. It caused his career in Hollywood to suffer, but his priorities seem to be in the right place. He came back to Hollywood when the SAG told him he would lose his membership if he did not work in America. He has worked steadily in movies all of these years, taken care of his family, and avoided scandals and the typical problems associated with actors.

I agree that he had his priorities right, but that does not mean that he is even a B level actor. Jesse D. Goins has been steady. Poor guy.

I agree on Goins. He does a lot and doesn't get much respect, and he too is a gifted actor. But, I'm also glad that Pare has his priorities right. One reason Gary Burghoff of "M*A*S*H" fame left was because he wanted to spend more time with his family, which might also be why he had the only two parter farewell in the series, and was handled in a great manner. Blake's killed him off, Burns and Trapper just disappeared and the actors explained off the reasons. Oddity is, Burns' farewell is the only one that was in and similar to the book (the movie version - the homosexuality issue, is the farewell in the book. The show had it as him just being crazy). Regardless, I wish more actors would have the same priorities.

Michael has a quality that his co-workers and his fans love. That's all there is to it.

His co-workers always say only good things about him also. He's a good guy, with a normal ego and always professional. They don't have to drag him out of his trailer or put up with violent druggy fits as they do with someone like Tom Sizemore.

I am sure he is a great guy to work with. I still like Jesse better. ;D
