I changed my iTunes Store to the US & did a number of searches for it, but I can't seem to find it! Can anyone help, please? Feel the love. dolfyn. It's not released yet. Should be this week. You can keep checking there or here.

You can only watch the animation on an Iphone? If that's true, I'm sorry to say that is a kind of stupid concept.

I've been really supportive of all the CatComics stuff--I've got all the Sparks comics, and lauded them on this forum, and am buying the TGAH series, too, and lauded the first one. Of course, I'm incredibly eager for any movie news, too.
However, I gotta say that building up a whole "animation series" in fans, only to reduce it to an Iphones program is very disappointing to the vast majority of fans WITHOUT Iphones. I hope they are more realistic about what they are doing in the future. It's better to get all the information up front than have something built up which turns out 1) goofy and 2) inaccessible to most of us. This is sort of like the TGAH.com fiasco. Not expected from OUR boys.

Itunes is different than the aps for the touch and I guess there was a misunderstanding as not even I understood that fact that you couldn't play it on just itunes. But when you take your first steps into a new world you're bound to stumble a bit. I don't know the process to put it on itunes but i know it's very different. and as I said b4, itunes will be looked into. so let's keep our fingers crossed. I can say that it will be worth the wait.

I don't know if I'm mixing apples with oranges, Marci. I appreciate you are going to think whatever they are going is good but for us regular fans of the show, at least for me, I don't have rose colored glasses on, although I DO support them. SURELY there is another way to go than sticking with Itunes. That's it? That's their BIG goal for animation presentation to fans? Again, very disappointing. Hopefully, they will think something else up. There must be some other URL/Website way to put up short series of animation. I don't mind paying to watch the animation, but I'm not spending $300 to get a phone I don't want for Sparks! And, I'm not paying it to buy it on ITunes to watch it on my tiny Ipod viewer, either.

Mona To be fair, Chris did mention from the get-go on the Catastrophic Comics board that this was going to be on iPhones at first: catastrophiccomics.com/forum/index.php?topic=54.msg1654#msg1654The news later expanded on Pare being cast, etc. That said, at least they're looking into expanding it - so there shows some promise and future in the endeavor. But, I also see where they're coming from too as far as the target audience of the comic (teens/young adults). There are a lot of people who use their cell phones now for Internet access. The iPhone in particular is a popular avenue, and there are quite a few people who either own or have access to one. Same with iTunes, so there's a valid concept in trying to have it where "Sparks" goes that route. Should it be the only route? - no, but IMHO it's still a valid route. (BTW, for as much as I disagreed with how they handled things - "TGAH 2008" was in fact accessible as far as their first five minutes and trailers. It was on several sites. That said - that project being "goofy" is up to the person's opinion. )

Mona As far as I understand it - only "Sparks" is going this route. I haven't read any news about how the "The Greatest American Hero's" animated shorts will be presented to audience. That said, IMHO, based on the response they had at the one convention all three were at, everyone involved with the "GAH" comic knows there's a lot more support for the show than "Sparks" and would want to do it where anyone can see it easily, clearly - and for free. (BTW, as a disclaimer - "Sparks" has a good following IMHO based on reviews I've seen; however, it pales in comparison to "GAH" )

Mona Sorry. I should have clarified what meant. itunes (apples) itouch/phone (oranges) It's not like you get one thing and then you get it all. The aps (as we have seen)don't work in itunes. Imho if it works on the accessories then it should do the same for itunes. But itunes doesn't work that way. I do think that it should, for the same reason you said. Not everyone has the accessories. So I really blame itunes for that. I will get an itouch only to upgrade my ipod, but not for a while. Sorry again for my confusion.

I hope they don't go this way with GAH comics.
I do understand where Mona is coming from. Not everyone owns the technology to have access.
Want to buy a comic book? Most people can get it online, since most have access to the internet. They could even charge per view or download on a website, which would give more people access.
When you start marketing to these niches, you run a big risk. You could strike it big, hoping that those with the technology go for it, and really go for it big time. You cut your loses with the people who don't.
Or you could wind up with a Blue Ray or Beta technology, and people soon wonder why they bothered to spend the money.
Consider this. They are going for a certain demographic. I would guess that people aged 15-30 are more likely to have iphones than people in my age range. And people in my age range are going to be spending money on mortgages and kids, not comics and iphones... so it's not surprising.
Of course, this is my choice not to spend money on iphones and things like that. I don't even have cable. I prefer to own a house. *shrug*
I understand that I am not The Market. I am not the kind of person who people market their products to, since I don't spend my money like most "normal" people. It's disappointing that these venues of entertainment aren't available to me, but it's my choice.
Hey, I'm lucky I have a functioning DVD player. And a pay-as-you-go cell phone.
Oh well. [/size]

Chris Folino's "solution" to find someone with an Iphone and pay them 99 cents to download Sparks, so we can all watch it on a tiny little screen, is a pretty bad solution.
I'm disappointed. I guess I'll just stick with the comics and hope for the movie. The Sparks animation can move on without me, which it doesn't seem to make Chris and Katt that upset.
I appreciate they are "Indie", but narrowing one's audience even further is not going to feed their purse much and help get them more mainstream and more earnings. Maybe they should have first focused on their comics, to get them out on time, and earn some money and then later figured out how to make the animation more accessible. Now we have comics which are turned out late, and animation which most of us can't see--I think their business plan is somewhat flawed. That worries me.

Still not sure about the iTunes thing (only for iTouch or all video iPods?) You have to think about how the economy is presently. They are doing this because they want to, but I'm sure they'd like to make money out of it. Personally, I think any other format at all that is being offered out of the normal printed comic book is a great idea for fans of this series. It may not be exactly what we may want from them, but it is getting the comic series "Sparks" out in another format.
