As a fan of The Dukes of Hazzard, I know that the General Lee is a 1969 Dodge Charger. Bill was driving one in The Best Desk Scenario....that Ralph torched with his pyrokenetic powers.
Can someone tell me what year the aforementioned Charger is? According to The Dukes of Hazzard: The Unofficial Companion by David Hofstede, if one wants a General Lee, a 1970 Charger will do as well as a '69.
Hmm, can you imagine Ralph and Bill in Hazzard County? Ralph might crash into the airborne General Lee! ;D

I'm guessing its a 1973 or 1974. Now, I haven't seen the episode in a while, but if I recall correctly, the Charger did not have the flip-up headlights. I think 1972 was the last year for that. The 1975 Charger looked totally different with a hood ornament and major design changes. [glow=red,2,300]1973[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]1974[/glow] I can picture Bill and Ralph in Hazard County. However, Bill would have to bust Boss Hog within minutes of arriving in town. He also would not tolerate the corruption of inefficiency of the sheriff's office. I think Ralph and Pam could "get along" with the folks of Hazard, but would find it difficult to relate to their lower intellect. I hate to sound elitist, but Ralph and Pam went to college, and Bill is by-the-book law enforcement. If there was an episode set in Hazard, I would have loved to see Bill pull a "rope a dope" and nab Sheriff Rosco in his own handcuffs. After that, It would be funny to see Ralph stopping the General Lee (tires spinning to no avail)...the Duke boys jumping out (confused and frightened), and Pam giving Daisy some words of support about possibly dressing less like a hooker and maybe going to night school to make something out of herself! In the finale, I think Bill would throw in a few words at the end about how the Dukes' need to get over the fact that the South LOST the civil war; General Lee was the one who had to surrender; and that confederate flag on their car is un-American, and should be replaced with Old Glory.

Your GAH in Hazard County synopsis sounds like a great idea for a fanfic, Mrs. Maxwell.
