Oh, man... I missed him last time at Chiller.... I don't know.
And Jeremy Bulloch (Mr. Noir's idol - Boba Fett) will be there, too.
Hmmmm...
And let's not forget the Dead Elvi...

What gets me the most reading this and other cons he's attended is that they seem to always ignore Culp's appearance with "The Greatest American Hero." It and "I Spy" are probably the two things that people would easily recognize him for. Third might be stuff such as "Everybody Loves Raymond" or "Trackdown." That said, wish I could go to either convention, though if I could I'd lean toward Glendale's as it's closer to where I live and Katt is my favorite of both actors. But it's still too far away and work keeps me busy in the fall and spring. Some people get all the luck - their favorite actors at least have at one time or another appear in driving distance to where they live. I think the closest yet here has been Glendale or possibly Georgia. It'll probably be a long time before any "GAH" actor appears here in Texas, but if one does and I can attend the con, I plan on going.

You are assuming that someone is choosing what to put down for them.
Perhaps the actors get to choose what to write down themselves?

Ms. B, Lauren, Josie: Are you going? Maybe you can drag J-Man along.

Ms. B, Lauren, Josie: Are you going? Maybe you can drag J-Man along. I'm holding out for Katt on the east coast. Although there are a lot of great actors going to be there, I can only afford 1 trip. So I am gonna wait and see what happens. At the Con last year I only went for Katt. No one else. I just about spent time with him. (going up to his table multiple times, seeing him b4 even paying to get in, Q&A autographs and videos.) I got my money's worth and then some. I met Batman Robin Catwoman, F-Troop dude, Eddie Munster, but none were as fun as WmK. Now, if Katt were to be at the Chiller,Hell yeah I'd go. That'd be my trip!

I am not a big con attendee.
I will consider it. If husband goes, I might go, to make a day of it. I don't know yet.
Going to cons always seems so one sided. If they remembered me after attending, well then... it's a mutual experience. Chances are they won't remember me - at least not by name... so why should I travel 3 hours to see them? Would they travel 3 hours just to see me?

My dearest Mrs. Noir, That is a rather unique attitude to hold regarding "the stars". I mean, I think there is EVERY chance that if you starred in a nationally broadcast TV show Robert Culp truly admired, he might go so far to invite you out to lunch (if he does, secretly record the conversation). In the meantime, it IS very one-sided, the fan/star set-up; after all, you have only seen HIM halfway nekkid several times. My suggestion: Go to the convention. Halfway undress in front of his table. Very likely a mutual desire for exchanging autographs will occur. I mean, come on, you gotta give the guy a chance! Mona

Hey, I'm glad you went to meet Larry Storch (The "F-Troop" dude). It was nice of him to tell you to say Hi to me from him, and it's neat to know that he's still doing well even now at 85. Last convention I went to was a con was in college, but not nearly as fun as this would be. It was one you learned media stuff - not meet celebrities.

I beg to differ. at least where Katt is concerned. The man remembered me afterwords. So I guess there are some exceptions to the rule. I have to say I was shocked but then after thinking about it, my actions were unforgettable. I will never forget the hug. Ahhhhh. I remember it well. I hugged him and he hugged me and I squeezed and he squeezed. It was a big hug. That man is just wonderful. I'm in my happy place. ;D

Billswoman: You hear that, Culp! Katt REMEMBERS his fans!! He doesn't take out restraining orders on them!
Culp: Hey, give me a break! He doesn't have to deal with THIS 120 times each time he does a con!!

Katt: Hey! You think this is easy on ME? When Culp cancels out on a con, and they send me in for backup, I have to deal with his fans...
