Simple. Plain and simple.
Whoever put that plaque on Ralph's new office door, he got the surname wrong. That created a running gag among students. They started calling him "Hanley" for a while, just to piss him off. ;D

They did that on purpose. It was due to the fact that the name "Hinkley" coincided with someone who tried to kill President Reagan. To make sure that no one associated Ralph as that person, they changed the name in a few episodes.

No offense but I hated Ghostbusters. The Real Ghostbusters was great though.

I was trying to give it a "meaning/logic reason" in the fictional universe Raph lives in.

Yeah...okay. That made no sense to me, GIH.

Yeah...okay. That made no sense to me, GIH. The worker who made the plaque (is this the exact word in English?) got the surname wrong. And the students started to call him "Hanley" just to piss him off. For a brief period of time. Then, the gag died.

But, you'd be amazed at how many of us Americans accidentally type in "plague" (as in a mass illness with diseases) for the metal item that hands on a wall. Then again... this is coming from the same person who during the first couple of months being here, was asked if I chose my usernym to pay homage to "Alf's" homeworld or the plastic pottery. (MelMac, as it is here, is an amalgamation. )

LOL. Glad to see you liked my theory... I mean, it's the only way to "unflub" this.

GIH: I like your theory too. Well, my friend... it's the only reasonable theory to embrace. IMHO. Prometheus... are you a member of the Hulk fan board too? I'm 'Gamma Sasquatch', by the way. LOL.

Greatest Italian Hero: Oh Yes, Gamma Sasquatch! Yes, I know you. I go by the same name over there at the Hulk fan board as here. Do you still go there? (I haven't seen you there lately)

TGIH, I just realized this - a worker didn't get this wrong... one of his students did that because they failed - Tony. The kids, however, liked it and called Ralph "Mr. Hanley" to irritate him - and it did moreso than "Mr. H." Eventually, Ralph figured out who it was, and made Tony write "I will not make fun of Mr. H's name" over and over again until the kids stopped calling him Mr. Hanley and the plaque was fixed. Of course - this took a few months.

Must come back, my friend! Yes, you should indeed! It's boring over there lately. We need more people to start interesting new threads.
