Hey, houdiniderek. I just finished responding to your recent message on the "Newlywed" thread I started, so I won't repeat myself here. Let me just say, my vote is nope...worked just fine!
Sorry I didn't spot this thread earlier - could have simply posted here in the first place...

It happens a lot that posts are similar and new ones started. And who cares what you voted anyway?

I think the episode in itself was a good episode, however, I think that had it been a two-parter, things could have been a little smoother, and it wouldn't feel so "thrown together".

I agree...even the wedding scene could have been funnier...maybe more thought out too.

One of the many things I like about the story was the wedding scene. It did seem to be a fire drill to begin with as they started playing the "Wedding March" while Mrs. Davidson was walking down the aisle (where was her escort too ), not Pam. I thought that was a bit funny in itself. Then of course the scene where Bill tells Pam and Ralph what happened, and Ralph and Pam try to avoid seeing each other before the wedding. It looked as though Pam was trying to ward off Ralph's spell or something. Even the final scene is funny in not only the dialogue, but that you know what's going on, but it's done in a classy way. Sometimes simple is all it takes to get the point across well. I voted "um. ..." because overall, it was a good story, a bit rushed in parts, but given what was shown, done well.

The church scene I did like was when Bill was trying to tell Pam and Ralph what was going on and they were shielding themselves from what looking at each other. A lot of the episode I liked, but it felt way too rushed overall.

I am going to make my episode comments here and see if that helps inspire more people to vote in the above poll. First, WHY are they fighting machines? Wouldn't it have been easier for Matthew Powers to call Bill out to nowhere and then just come clean with what he wanted? Why be so elaborate? Why couldn't Ralph pull a holograph OFF the equipment? I think this could have been cut down and given more time to the wedding ideas of the episode.

I was watching GAH first-run when I was ten years old. Before the reruns on FX started, I could only recall little bits n pieces, maybe a brief scene from an episode here and there...
...but one thing I have always remembered was Bill standing as Best Man with that hilarious red-n-white checkered shirt/tuxedo combination, trying to rush the ceremony because of the bad guys. I couldn't tell you anything about any other part of the episode, but that image stuck in my mind forever. ;D

OK this episode is worth it just for the image of Bill acting as best man while carrying the suit in his duffel bag, lol. If Ralph hadn't been worrying about his life at that moment, he probably would have complained more, lol.

One of the very best episodes of TGAH, as well as a personal favorite.

Because it's a very good episode! ;D C'mon, who doesn't like to attend a wedding?! Especially when it's the wedding between two old friends that I grew up with----Ralph Hinckley and Pam Davidson.

I've actually only just started attending weddings in recent years so it's kind of a new experience for me, lol. I guess I'm more like Ralph not looking at it that romantically and thinking a concert would be just as good to go to, lol.
